[TUTORIALS] CISCO PACKET TRACER (Networking Simulation Software)

PACKET TRACER: SIMPLE VTP
Gayahin nyo ulit ung diagram sa baba.

vtp.jpg

Then punta kau sa CLI or Command Line Interface ng switch
SWITCH0
Switch>en
Switch#conf t
Switch(config)#hostname Switch0
Switch0(config)#no ip domain-lookup
Switch0(config)#vtp domain VTP-test
Changing VTP domain name from NULL to VTP-test
Switch0(config)#vtp mode server --> bale dito pedeng server, client or transparent bale ginawa ko lahat sila nka server kayo na bahala mag-experiment.
Device mode already VTP SERVER.
Switch0(config)#vtp version 2
Switch0(config)#vtp password cisco -- optional
Setting device VLAN database password to cisco
Switch0(config)#exit or press nyo ung ctrl + z
Switch0#show vtp stat

Yan ung makikita nyo:
VTP Version : 2

SWITCH0:
Switch0#config t
Switch0(config)#int fa0/1
Switch0(config-if)#switchport mode trunk
Switch0(config-if)#press ctrl + z

SWITCH1:
Switch1#conf t
Switch1(config)#int range fa0/1 – 2 –->ung range para masama na natin ung fast Ethernet 0/2 para inde na natin i-type ung int fa0/2 ksi same code nman ung gagamitin ntin which is switchport mode trunk.
Switch1(config-if-range)#switchport mode trunk
Switch(config-if-range)#press ctrl + z
Switch#show vlan br
Wala na ung fa0/1 at fa0/2 naging trunk na sila.

SWITCH2:
Switch2#conf t
Swithc2(config)#int fa0/1
Switch2(config-if)#switchport mode trunk
Switch2(config-if)#press ctrl + z
Switch2#show vlan br

SWITCH0
Switch0#conf t
Switch0(config)#vlan 100
Switch0(config-vlan)#name madebySwitch0
Switch0(config-vlan)#press ctrl + z
Switch0#show vlan br
Makikita nyo ung vlan 100 with name na madebySwitch0
Tapos punta kayo sa CLI ng switch 1 at switch 2 tpos type nyo show vlan br
SWITCH1
Switch1#show vlan br

Enjoy….. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: :clap::clap::clap:

VLAN
A virtual local area network, virtual LAN or VLAN, is a group of hosts with a common set of requirements that communicate as if they were attached to the same broadcast domain, regardless of their physical location. A VLAN has the same attributes as a physical local area network (LAN), but it allows for end stations to be grouped together even if they are not located on the same network switch. LAN membership can be configured through software instead of physically relocating devices or connections.

VTP or VLAN Trunking Protocol
VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) is a Cisco proprietary protocol that propagates the definition of Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN) on the whole local area network. To do this, VTP carries VLAN information to all the switches in a VTP domain. VTP advertisements can be sent over ISL, 802.1q, IEEE 802.10 and LANE trunks. VTP is available on most of the Cisco Catalyst Family products.

Trunking
trunking is a concept by which a communications system can provide network access to many clients by sharing a set of lines or frequencies instead of providing them individually. This is analogous to the structure of a tree with one trunk and many branches. Examples of this include telephone systems and the VHF radios commonly used by police agencies. More recently port trunking has been applied in computer networking as well.

galing sa wikipedia yan, hahahahahahaha!!! copy paste nlng.

hahahaha!!! ah ganun ba, ok no problem....

musta ung dhcp napagana mo?

ng simulator..my aaplayan ksi ko abroad LAN technician lng
dyahe nman bka pg dating ko dun aanga-anga ako..

kya tulongan moko intindihin from basic to advance ha?? :praise:

..pero my nbasa ako, medyo malaki daw tlga salary pag CCNA
licensed ka hahah..tempting tuloy mg change carrier!
ok lng ba khit anong course dito? then anu exam actual or
via simulator din?? :noidea:

Tulad ung Spanning tree protocol..
