There are web-based tools that can be used for the PC as the client like showmypc.com or ammyy.com. However, if the client PC is unable to install any app (i.e. it requires Administrator priviledges), sorry pero hindi ka makakapag-VNC. Ask for permission from your network administrator para makapag-install siya. Or try the built-in "Remote Desktop" app in Windows kung gagana. But still, Administrative Priviledges are required.

Telnet into switches, routers, and PBX? Yes, you might want to try SSH as an alternative.

Pero based sa post mo (wag mo masamain)...are you planning to do this at work or school? Make sure you have permission.

ganun din sir eh. sa work kase automatically connected ako dahil allowed kaming mag-connect. try ko rin po sa haus ng friend ko,ganun din po lumalabas.me problema na ata phone ko. meron po kayang connection itong di pag-update ng omweather ko sa apt-get update? kase,evrytime apt-get update ako;til now NO PUBKEY pa rin ung cnasabi.do i need to reflash my phone?

I see. I believe it's supposed to be included in the OS itself (if you're using Microsoft Windows XP), you should be able to configure it especially because you're the administrator of your office network.

i can do remote connections from windows desktop to another windows desktop.. pati telnet pede. ang hanap ko is pag galing sa N900. so N900 > remote desktop > Win7 PC.

Ah okay. Now it's clearer...I thought you were asking for an app for the computer terminals.

However, based on a lot of feedback, SSH is more secure. But I guess if most of the users in your office are restricted then your N900 will be safe (unless someone knows how to hack).

There's a post somewhere here that has been shared by Vetsin to solve the NO PUBKEY problem. Re-flash...yeah that helps but at this point I only recommend it as a last resort. Hassle mag-reinstall eh. But if you can live with re-installing everything then that's fine.

Friend, may YouTube video tutorial naman akong ginawa (check sa Page 1)...Ultra Newbie Guide for Flashing. Naka-PIP (picture-in-picture) pa nga yung ginawa kong video para makita mo kung ano ang nangyayari sa computer at pati kung ano ang nangyayari sa N900...all you have to do is watch the video.

after mo magawa ng tama ang step 1 and 2,ok lang na idisconnect mo yung usb basta wag mo lang irereboot then follow step 3 same lang ng process sa step 1 may idadagdag ka lang sa command. just follow the tutorial carefully everything will be alright.

may pc ako kaso wla internet.. na flash ko na cp ko.. thnks kay sir garcel... pero nagtry ako mag connect sa smart internet kanina ayaw p din magtuloy dun sa wifi assistant.. pero pag sa m.smart.com.ph nag oopen namn cia.. dko alam kng bkt..

ah cge po sir mag back read na lang po ako. as for reflashing, hayaan ko na lang muna cgurong ganito omweather ko kase hassle mag-reflash eh.ang tagal mag-install. so far un lang naman po ang problema ko.my device is working quite well. thank you sir!

Remote desktop app on the PC side, or on the N900 side?

If you're asking for a remote desktop app on the N900 side, there are at least a couple that you can find there. Whenever you have the App Manager open, select or tap "All" instead of selecting a specific category. And then using your N900's physical keyboard, you can actually do a search by simply typing directly.

Try searching for "VNC". I'm sure there will be some apps that will show up. There's xvnc11 and VNCviewer (I forgot the correct name). Basta I'm sure meron niyan, kasi I use VNC/remote desktop whenever I create video tutorials for the N900 eh.

Friend, most likely yung "Wi-fi Assistant" ang nag-cause ng problem. Nabanggit ko sa iyo in previous messages not to use it anymore eh. Di ko lang sure ha, because I have never used that app and therefore I have never encountered that problem. Also refer to my previous post about some tips on how to troubleshoot a technical problem. You need to isolate and find out what is causing the problem. Nabanggit mo na dati nakaka-connect ka naman and recently, hindi na. Hindi naman masisira nang mag-isa or kusa ang N900 (or any device for that matter) kung walang nagbago (for example may na-install or na-remove ka).
