Any wireless receiver will work with Ubuntu. Pero kung specific ang paggagamitan (especially cracking wireless networks), make sure to read thoroughly sa website ng aircrack-ng. Hindi po lahat ng wireless receiver ay puwedeng gamitin para sa purpose ninyo.

Correct me if I'm wrong...Ultrasurf is para makagamit ng Proxy, tama? No need to use 3rd party apps in Ubuntu if you plan to use proxies. You can simply configure proxy IP Addresses sa Network Manager mismo, or sa Mozilla Firefox mismo. Meron po bang specific/special reason kung bakit kakailanganin pa rin po ang Ultrasurf? Just let us know.

mga sir pede po bang ask tuts about installing other softwares like printer drivers, ung kc ung problem ko eh, detected ung printer pro ayaw mag print, ubuntu 10.04 po ung gamit ko, salamat po

Most drivers can easily be installed in Ubuntu pero make sure you have a working Internet connection. As for printers, some brands eh medyo maarte so make sure to read information from the website mismo ng printer manufacturer. Para sa akin, good brands for Linux are Canon and Brother kasi they do have Linux drivers and they have well-documented instructions on how to install their devices in Linux-based Operating Systems. I can't speak for, nor against, other brands since hindi ko naman nasubukan.

Sorry I can't, kasi hindi ako gumagamit ng external USB na wireless receiver kasi limited ang range niyan. Which means kailangan malapit ka sa source ng Internet para magawa ang gusto mong activity. I use a desktop computer and bumili ako ng wireless receiver na sinasaksak sa PCI slot ng computer.

Another thing...laptop, medyo mahihirapan ka. Hindi masyadong malakas ang specs ng mga laptop para sa activity na yan. Cracking wireless networks (especially WPA) takes days of operation (non-stop). Kung WEP encryption okay lang, mabilis lang yan.

ako po ay may katanungan... nagtesting kasi ko ng mga audio player nung isang araw at yung AUDACIOUS iba talaga yung tunog nya eh. built-in speakers lang po ng laptop ko yung pinagbatayan ko pero iba talaga yung tunog compared sa banshee, rhythmbox, guada..(something), vlc. ang tanong po eh alam nyo ba kung bakit?
Altec lansing yung speakers ng laptop ko tapos sa Windows pwede ko enable yung SRS surround pero mas maganda talaga yung playback Audacious kahit wala akong galawin sa equalizer or settings.
(note: hindi po ako audiophile, curious lang talaga ko dito. )

Iba-iba kasi ang audio drivers na ginagamit ng iba't-ibang audio players. For the most part in Linux, there are 2 types na pinaka-ginagamit: one is ALSA, and the other is Gstreamer.

if you want somthing like audacious, try XMMS

try mo ang Pmusic or Songbird. mas madali ang interface nito kesa sa iba.

thanks for the info. hindi ko alam kung alsa or gstreamer gamit ng audacious. check ko na lang din mamaya. hehe N900 lang ako net ngayon eh.

if you want somthing like audacious, try XMMS

ang alam ko XMMS talaga ang root ng Audacious, halted na ata development nun eh. saka masaya na ko sa audacious. it's more than what i expected. ang habol ko lang naman kasi sa kanya kaya ko sinubukan eh yung mga keyboard shortcut na adapted from winamp tapos nung nagplay ako ang ganda ng tunog! kaya ayun, stick na ko dito.

Kung regular (day-to-day) computing needs, hindi po recommended ang BackTrack kasi designed ang BackTrack for wireless network security and auditing.

Try mo Gvim. GUI version ng vim. Hindi ako sigurado sa emacs. Vim user kasi ako eh. Pero gusto kung masubukan ang emacs
