Sony Xperia Z5/Z5 Dual Thread
SPECIFICATIONS
MY SHORT REVIEW
NOTE
- My previous phone was Xperia Z3 Compact.
- Z5 Dual ang nabili ko (mas mura sa Single sim ng ibang gray markets, at may pros ang dual sim, will explain later)
- Please lang, magkaiba ang Z5/Z5 Dual sa Z5 Premium at Z5 Compact
DESIGN
Typical Sony fashion, sleek, premium looking. And one thing, kung medyo clumsy ka at plano mong bumili nito, better buy a grippy case after, kasi madulas ung phone sa kamay (promise).
HARDWARE/PERFORMANCE
- Snapdragon 810 Processor, very notorious in heating issues, well I think not on this one (If you have read or seen it) Sony implemented a dual heat pipe on the Z5 (and Premium, I think?) to address the heating issue, which, I think has solved it. Hindi pa ako naglalagay/nagtatry ng intensive games, (Coc and Cytus lang nakalagay sakin), pero based on some video reviews, top notch ang gaming performance ng Z5.
- I know some of you might ask, "How's the fingerprint sensor?" Well, If you have dry fingers, it will work very fast, and I mean really fast, but if you have sweaty fingers, it will not work all the time (How did I know?) well, minsan kasi pinagpapawisan ang right thumb ko, at pahirapang gamitin ang sensor pag ganun
- Speakers? Decent, loud (But not really loud)
SOFTWARE
Kung matagal ka ng Sony user, well, hindi ka maninibago sa UI ng Z5, Sony made it more simpler and cleaner (although merong settings na nawawala, like setting the primary home screen, ung left most app drawer settings eh wala na din) But, It is still great, and very awesome
CAMERA
- DxoMark has ranked the Z5 as the best camera phone so far, well, they ain't lying, check my sample shots (Resized to 800px width)
- For the front camera, Sony has (finally) fixed the Soft Skin Effect bug (ung kahit naka disable ung setting eh "sobrang smooth parin ng skin mo", hehe)
- The last sample shot was taken at 3x Digital Zoom
BATTERY LIFE
- Sony claims that the Z5 series can go on *UP TO 2 Days of Battery life, well, I guess they are, saying the truth (battery usage posted is based on light to average usage only)
- Kung manggagaling ka sa Compact Series ng Sony, maninibago ka sa battery life (Larger screen means less battery life compared to the compact ones)
- (Cant' seem to resize images, anyways, magkakasunod naman sa upload ko) First 2 day battery test is the first three battery usage screenshots, second 2 day battery test is the next 3
WATER TEST
Di ko pa natatry ung akin, pero based on the Service Menu Test (Pressure sensor test) eh waterproof naman unit ko, I'll update this post once naisipan ko na siyang i-try, hehe (Well, not that scared though, nung bagong bili ko ang Xperia ZR at Xperia Z3 Compact ko dati, nag conduct agad ako ng water test, It's just that wala pa ako sa mood I-try tong phone ko ngaun, hehe)
OVERALL
Very Worth It!
SOME THINGS TO KNOW- Kung bibili ka nitong Xperia Z5 at gusto mo ng hot-swap memory card slot, go for the Dual Version, ung Single Sim version kasi, iisa lang ang tray ng memory card at sim card, compared sa dual, may sariling slot ang memory card sa phone
- Not all graphite black colors tend to be black, ung metal portion nung sakin is sort of gunmetal color (But still looks awesome!)
- There are tendencies na mahina ang isa sa mga speakers (usually bottom) kung kaya niyo papalitan, papalitan niyo, pero kung medyo hassle ang exchange process para sa inyo (likewise), try niyo gamitin ung speakers about 90% level for around 10-30 minutes, then try again the other day, kapag swerte kayo, need lang maluto ng mahinang speaker para pumantay dun sa isa (Like what I have)
