I would like to start a thread para sa mga Yii framework users. Para sa akin, pinakamabilis makagawa ng web app using this framework. Kayang gumawa ng enterprise na app in a few days kahit may work pa ako. Mataas ang learning curve sa umpisa pero pagna-master mo, mabilis lang makagawa ng app. Marami pa akong functionalities na di kabisado and still learning. I hope to help and be helped.

Anu opinion mo about Laravel, Slim, Lumen, Zend Symphony, CakePHP and other Frameworks ? And how do they compare to Yii ?

may kanya-kanyang features ang bawat framework. most functionalities na kailangan mo nasa yii na. you can create an app na walang sql statement na ii-issue. anyway, i don't like reinventing the wheel. napag-isipan na, gamitin na lang. tingin ko, yung ang ganda ng yii. edit edit na lang.

sana kahit mga advantage-disadvantage comparison nila with other frameworks . at least kahit sabihing biased ang comparison , at least makikita ng mga newcomers ung advantages to using Yii against other frameworks . we are technical professionals kaya pwede mo samin justify pano mo nagustuhan ung framework in details . para makita din namin, maenganyo kami gamitin siya . and what .

Sana binasa mo lahat ng comments and see for yourself kung ano picture nila about yii, code igniter, and laravel.
Yung pumili ng laravel isang managing editor. Ito ang sabi niya: Laravel. Laravel, while arguably not the fastest or the most best-practice-infused one, is extremely easy to get started with, has an unfathomably huge user base (and by extension, community you can ask for advice) and works out of the box with little to no need for configuration - all very newbie friendly features...
Ito naman ang sabi ng Senior Programmer: Yii is for the people who like to concentrate on Business Logic rather than developing core stuff themselves on the other hand CodeIgniter is NOT for beginners only, it can do all things which a modern framework can do (if not by itself then by extensions) and it gives you more flexibility to turn your code around the way you want where as in Yii you loose the flexibility but it hell lot faster then CodeIgniter.
Both have there pros and cons so one should choose Framework according to time, Community, support and dev goals.
Sabi nman ng isang hacker: CodeIgniter is great because of its simplicity. But if you want to build something more complex it's better to go with Yii, which is more comprehensive.
I mostly choose Yii over CodeIgniter because Yii has jQuery widgets, automatic code generation and support for unit/functional testing.
Sabi naman ng isang Russian, probably isang programmer din: Yii has excellent documentation, and is very powerful. Also, it is very fast, and beats most other frameworks on speed tests by a large margin. It takes time to learn using it well, mostly because there aren't enough examples, and you don't have such great video tutorials like CodeIgniter does. But still it`s much better, especially its extensions backvendor

Actually, ang kagandahan talaga eh wala kang sql statement na gagawin. ORM ang susi kaya iwas pagkakamali sa paggawa ng sql statements.
Magandang aralin ang Yii kasi yung mga techniques na kailangan sa paggawa ng full-featured na app eh nandun na. Maaral mu ang mga ito sa mabilis na paraan.

Inaaral ko din Yii2. Pero CodeIgniter gamit ko ngayon sa project ko kasi yun una kong natutunan. Sa susunod ko na project Yii2 na gagamitin ko.
Tanong lang mayroon din bang parang built-in na administrator ang Yii yung parang sa Django?
