Gumawa na po ako ng sariling thread ng malupit na HSPA+ usb modem na ito para dito na lang natin pag usapan ang lahat. How to maximize it's usage and full capability.

I am a proud user with a legit connection SmarBro Plan 999. And i am happy with the results. Sulit para sa akin.

So right now below is everything you need to know. Kayo na po ang bahalang humusga. Kung may kulang sa informations why not share what you know and your experience?

By the way don't get carried away by what you see here. It is still your resposibility to know if this modem is applicable at your area dapat kasi malakas ang signal ng ginagamit mong TelCo most specialy sa kanilang HSPA+ signal.

Today siya po ay gamit ng Smart Philippines. And the device is naka lock. Means hindi ka puwedeng gumamit ng ibang sim. Kung marunong kang mag unlock why not?

Yep you read it right! This baby has an external antenna interface. And a dual antenna!. Puwede po tayong gumamit ng outdoor antenna kapag mahina ang signal natin sa loob ng bahay like me. Pero dapat 2.1Ghz na try ko na gumamit ng 2.4Ghz thats what we use for the Wimax malakas pero hindi stable kasi nga yung frequency. So kapag gamit mo is 2.1Ghz nasa range at frequency ka ng HSPA+ signal not unlike 2.4Ghz. O ngayon alam mo na ha?

In the market there are two types of Smart Rocket Plug-it. One is the old stock which is openline (E353u-6) and the other one is the new stock that is locked on Smart SIM only (E353s-6). And another one is with the 3UK logo which is the e353w.

All has the same highest download speed which is 21mbps. But! they vary with the operating frequency they can have. Some are single band while others are multi band. Since naka post na po sa taas yung versions you can ask google about it.

By visiting telcos website makakakuha po kayo ng firmware upgrade nito.

Pero just incase na need ninyo it may unlock your device. Tested it ko na ito kapag nag papalit ako ng firmware from Smart to Moded at wala naman problem. Please use it at your own risk.

If my memory served me right to date ang nakita kong mataas na download rate is around 10mbps - 12mbps courtesy of bossing jaime4i and 14mbps from boss fawkes01

Mine i got around 8mbps download rate. i use a tool to check my profile and yes up to 8mbps lang puwedeng ibigay.

Take a glimpse of a 3G/4G antennas and how they look like



Ang gamit ko to date is the Yagi antenna from HotGadgets and take note during weekends ko na lang siya nilalagay kasi lumakas na ng husto signal dito sa amin. Kahit sa banyo may HSPA+ signal pa rin. Kaya siguro dami na ang napapanot dito sa amin buti na lang wala sa lahi ko.

Why use this instead of the normal dashboard? Naka default kasi si E353 for WCDMA2100 band (e353w) problem is kung walang HSPA+ signal sa inyo eh unstable at mabagal ang connection mo so para masagap mo ng tama ang iyong signal ng maayos gamit ka muna ng dialer until such time na meron nang HSPA+ base station sa inyo. Usefull ito para sa mga naka bili na ng modem na ito at wala palang HSPA+ na base station within you area.

OR Enable the Multiband

If you do not feel the work around above there is another trick that can be done to enable the multiband ng E353 po natin. Ito po ay para mapili ninyo ang tamang frequency ng network ninyo habang wala pang HSPA+ na naka default sa WCDMA2100 na band

so nag experiment ako kanina kasi nakaramdam ako ng pagbagal baka nga siguro its either congested dahil sa mga freemium users nating ka symbianize or what not and i am using yung rocket plug it na dashboard. while using this branded dashboard eh walang option to change settings at ang default combination niya is NDIS + CHAP. then sa website naman ni smart eh PAP ang ginamit para sa plug it click mo ito ang gulo diba? so ang ginawa ko eh binalik ko siya sa original na dashboard which is graham ISO. then nag try ako ng combinations ng settings ang gumagana eh RAS + PAP at NDIS + CHAP. nag wiki ako at tinignan ko ang pinagkaiba ng RAS AT NDIS at malaki ang pinagkaiba nila. napansin ko rin na kapag RAS + PAP yung settings ko pag click ko ng connect eh connected kagad while sa NDIS + CHAP eh may katagalan ng konti. then nag try ako mag download using those two settings at si RAS + PAP ang nanalo i can download 200+mb is less that 5 minutes while sa NDIS + CHAP naman eh around 8 minutes or so. ginamit ko rin yung pinger at nag RTO ang NDIS + CHAP pero ang RAS + PAP eh minsanan lang.

sa ngaun ang favorable sa akin eh ang settings na RAS + PAP. i can download much faster with minimun downtime. subukan ninyo rin!

P.S. Due to a request to post. Marami po kasing nagtatanong kung gumagana po ito sa VPN? Ang sagot diyan eh YES! lahat naman ng USB modem nagagamit sa VPN diba? Nag try ako mag VPN bago ako mag legit there are pros and cons. But we are all here to discuss and contribute how to maximize using this modem of ours. Hindi po kami nandito para i support po kayo sa inyong VPN problems. Meron pong thread para diyan. Sana po maunawaan ninyo.

ibang klase na ang antenna architecture ng ganitong mga bagong labas na usb modem dongle. nag try ako gamitin yung luma kong MF627 at walang makuhang signal. nasa loob kasi ng bahay. pero nung ginamit ko e353 ko 3 bars siya.

Meron indoor un ang gamit ni boss jaime4i meron naman Yagi type antenna. Basta 900Mhz - 2.1Ghz ang the best gamitin diyan indoor man o outdoor.

sa eBay mura lahat 1K lang naka Yagi ka na. Dito may nagbebenta pati sa kabila 2+K na eh. pinoy nga naman.
