[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.


also please put your requests in this format:

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

If DEsktop yung pang gaming na kaya Call Of Duty Games/left for DEAD2/H.O.N. at maganda sya for heavy duty Net browsing and office, could you help me mga sir?? pasensya na weak type ako sa mga specs kase.

If laptop naman po(same budget as above) ano brand/specs pwede nyo i suggest same capabilities ng nasa taas po, Thanks po in advance,

so that mapag-isip ko san ba talaga maganda laptop nalang or desktop

i think all parts that i mentioned is available at pc option in Gilmore...

2gb of ram is enough to play games that you mentioned base on pc requirements

if you want to add another ram... degrade Video card to 512mb and your hdd to 160gb.

2gb of ram is enough to play games that you mentioned base on pc requirements

if you want to add another ram... degrade Video card to 512mb and your hdd to 160gb.

kase tingin ko ok na saken 160gb ang HDD ko pero ung degrade ng Video Card to 512mb? pwede ko malaman ano reason?

reason is ... to cope up with you budget... adding another ram will cost atleast 2k... but i still think 2gb ram is enough for now.. you can always upgrade later... unless if your going for a 64bit os...

at onee-chan. yes you can install games in HDD... but i dnt know if you can play it on other computer..(bcos of registry )

grabe nmn paps... phenom ii x4 ? pentium 4 can play l4d2 and cod games... at low setting ...

for his budget which almost close to mine..
pde n core2duo or amd athlon ii series. or phenom ii x2.

qng may lcd n kasama i'd go for amd athlons

hindi naman.. eh kung may budget ka naman para sa future proof eh, un ang bibigay ko para wala ka nang problema sa pag upgrade with in 2 years or more.. dipende sayo kung tatagal ng 2 years. saken siguro naman tatagal ng 2 years ang quad core na phenom II at core i5..

sir ganito lang yan.. 64 bit ka diba.? mag 4 GB ka minimum para makita mo ang performance boost ng 64 bit..

kung ikaw naman ay pala gala, at kung saan saan nagamit mang computer, mag laptop ka. for gaming also? eh baka umabot ng 50K ang gaming laptop, un lang..

Pero

kung desktop ka, maraming advantage dyan. pwedeng upgrade upgrade lang BUT fixed location lang yan at saka with a low budget, you can afford the performance you want.. alright?

oki na ang core i5 para saken pero alanganin sa extreme overclock

eh ung power supply ay para rin naman sa graphics card.. para maging sufficient ang distribution ng power to the whole system.. pati performance boost ang magiging result ng graphics card kung required niya ang isang power supply with true power.

halimbawa ang GTX260 required niya ay 160W, so add mo pa power ng ibang system ng unit mo.. ayun so meaning recommended dyan ang 600W pataas para maging sufficient ang power ng system mo..
