the best itong tutorial na to! pero may question lang ako: nakapag install na ako ng Titanium back up pro at nag back up using it, pwede pa ba iuninstall yun Titanium then use CWM instead?

hi! done na po ko dun sa step1-4 kung panu magroot ng play.. nakapa-reboot na din ako... just want to ask if how would i know if my phone is already root? magDL na kasi sana ko ng cmw... thanks

Papalitan mo agad boss. . . .pero depende yan sa tindahang pinagbilhan mo, yung sakin sa memoxpress, wala clang replacement -_- . . .

1. tanggal bat
2. kabit bat
3. press and hold down volume up and power button, pag labas ng star mobile logo, let go muna volume up then power button.. Pupunta yan ng recovery, dun may option to wipe data/factory reset. Try mo lng yan if walang option magpapalit ng SM Play mo.

how to root sm play.



1.Download framaroot

2. install framaroot n yan then Barahir exploit,

3. SuperSU or Superuser (mas mabilis supersu based

sa exp ko since sa lumang phones ko)

4. then dapat mag prompt na success at reboot.



so ayan root na kayo. sunod nyong gawin mag install ng cwm. para makapag backup ng stock rom incase na ma softbrick/bootloop kayo.

What is CWM?

ClockWorkMode, para ito makapag backup ka ng ROM

mo or lahat mismo ng nasa phone mo, contacts,

messages etc. Para incase naboot loop dahil sa

isang nainstall mo file or tweak na ginawa mo,

pwede mo marestore.Gamit rin ito pang flash ng

tweaks para mapabilis ang performance ng phone

mo at pwede rin magflash ng custom rom or ported

roms using this.



How to install CWM on SM Play?

Note : Needs a rooted SM Play

1. Idownload ang mga sumusunod na files yung cwm sm play recovery.img at mobile uncle tools

2. Rename yung cwm SM Play recovery.img to

recovery.img

3.. Ilagay si recovery.img sa sdcard (root ng

external sdcard, sa labas lang mismo kasama ng

mga android folder etc)

4. Install Mobileuncle tools

5. Sa loob ng Mobileuncle tools, tap recovery

update. Then magprompt na use recovery.img,

press ok lang then magprompt ulit, boot to

recovery.

5. Pag color blue na yung color ng font, cwm na

yan.

Congrats and enjoy.Magbackup na agad para incase

may problem ka pwede na marestore.

(note; back up files size may depends on how many apps or gamed songs movies saved on your storage. so if you dont have enough space on your sd card hindi ka makakapag back up. kung default apps lang ang laman ng phone mo for example baggong bili lang ang star mobile play mo at at rooted ka and may cwm kna mag back up kna. i think below 1.5 gb ang size pag mag back up ka ng stock rom.

-First manually boot your device into CWM
recovery mode . This can be done by
pressing and holding certain specific
combination of buttons . Note that every
device has different booting procedure.
-In Recovery mode, use Volume Up and
Down key for Navigation and Power
Button for Selection. In case if you
have a touch based recovery, use the
on - screen navigation .
-Go to ‘ backup and restore ’ option using
Volume keys ( unless you have touch
enabled recovery) .

-Now, select ‘ backup ’ option using power
key . backup on external sd card.

-The Process will start and backup will be
completed within a few minutes . It will
be saved in a folder named
‘ Clockworkmod/backup ’ on your device ’ s
internal or external storage depending
on what location you choose while
creating the backup ( never rename this
folder )
after successful ang pag back up select reboot. to navigate use volume up or down. and to select use power button. makikita nyo yung ng stock rom nyo dun sa external sd card folder name is /cwm/backup wag nto.idedelete or i rename yon.

restoring back up roms will ocurred when you encountered problems like bootloop. etc.

so here it goes how to restore your back up.
kung ano yung files na naka install nung nagback up kayo yun lang ang marerestore halimbawa nung nag back up ka angry birds pa lang ang naka install tas after mo mag back up nag istall ka ng flappy bird. then gusto mo mag restore kasi na bootloop ka. pag nag restore ka hindi makakasama sa marerestore si flappy bird. si angrybirds lang. gets?

-For restoring it is must that you have
made any backup of a ROM on your
internal /external storage.
-Similarly as explained above, at first you
need to boot your device into CWM
recovery mode . In Recovery mode use
Volume Up and Down key for Navigation
and Power Key for Selection.
-Go to ‘ backup and restore ’ option. You ’ ll
see the list of all backups which you ’ ve
made earlier (yung folder name nung irerestore mo is yung date and time kung kelan ka nag back up). Choose one of the backup
you want and select ‘ restore ’ using
volume and power key . Click yes to
confirm your choice .

The Process will start and restore will be
completed within a few minutes . Now go
back Reboot your device after the
restore completes . then reboot. ayun tapos kna magrestore.

first rule when flashing customrom

"ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING THIS
ROM. I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY
PROBLEMS ETC RESULTING FROM USING THIS.
FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK. "

how to flash?
INSTRUCTION:
1. Place rom and patch at the root(dont place in
folder) of sd card or phone storage.
2. Perform a factory reset/ wipe cache patition
3. go to advance wipe dalvik cache/ wipe battery
stat, then go back.
4. Install zip from sd card,
-select "install zip from sd card (if it is saved on
ur sdcard)
-select "choose zip from internal sdcard (if it is
saved on ur phone storage)
5. select "yes"
6.just wait till mabasa mo yung successfully.
7.go to reboot now.
8. after booting up to system, dont do anything
for 3mins, let your device fully loaded its system..
9. done

Sensya now lang nag reply nawili kasi ako sa 3G kakadownload ng video movies, okay na napapalitan ko na un sm play kahapon din. Pa bookmark muna ako sa root saka na ako magroot enjoy ko muna ito, ask ko normal ba 6hours or more then this ang charging umiinit pag nasa 3G ako lalo na ang sim ko is broadband. Paano ba mapapa kalma ang heat rate nito. Thanks sa mga sasagot

I suggest lang po na post your problems dun sa group po para masupport kayo ng maayos. Ako lang kasi taga dun sa group na admin na nagcheck dito sa symb dahil nirefer ako ng isang kasymb rin, baka kasi magkaprob kayo sa roms nyo. Yung owners ng roms kasi di nasabihan na nand2 na roms nila, ayun naedit na yung links at ayaw na ishare muna ng isa unless pm nyo sya >.<
Di naman big deal yung post na to but just to avoid problems na like bootloops, mas marami po makakatulong sa fb group.
