[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Natatakot kc ako, maganda na m0bo,pr0c. Etc. Tapos pagdating sa psu ay generic bka hndi magtagal ang first c0mputer ko eh...Kapag nakaip0n ulit saka ko palitan ung pr0cessor ko ng much better.

ilang araw ka muna mag skyflakes sir. wala naman problema dun.

if di talaga kaya, then get the athlon II x3 440.

if you can buy a cheap ddr1 2nd hand. then go. pero if you'll buy bnew or highly cost ddr1, then wait nalang for december na magkapera ka.

ddr2 po ram q 667 pwde kaya lagyan ng 2gb ddr2 800mhz pra bumilis upgrade q n din sana proci q sa core 2 duo

yup. yup. photoshop needs din gpu. pero kung di ka choosy and maliit lang monitor mo, kahit yung mid-end card pedi na.

no to core2duo. you'll wasting money lang.
ahh ddr2 ba? aba magupgrade kana. kahit 1gb lang is enough na since youre running single core.

Tol maganda rin ang Enermax Modu87+ Power supply
Kaso may kamahalan nga lang ito, pero kung computer enthousiasts ka sigurado bagay na bagay to sayo.
May two 8pin CPU power cables 6+2pin PCI-E power connection na talagang makikita.
Maganda rin ang efficiency nito na hindi malakas sa kuryente.
Ito yung review sa YT.

paauwi nako. Bali ang binili ko ay antec 550w 2k sa pc corner + coolermaster elite 310 for 1750php.
Tas bumili narin ako avr 200php at led fan 120php.
Next target ko vc and led monitor na 20''

Hey guys.

So I just got back from SM North Annex to purchase a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus for PHP1,500. PC Hub is selling it for PHP1,350 but the PHP150 difference is okay. Malapit lang ako sa SM North, and ganun din kung mapa-taxi pa ako sa Gilmore.

For the rest of the parts, I had a phone conversation with Jorel, the store owner of PC Net Miles Eton Branch (near Robinson's Galleria). This is what I got:

1. Casing, Thermaltake TT Docker - PHP3,200
2. Video Card, (Palit) Nvidia GTX 560 Ti Sonic - PHP10,900
3. PSU, Antec TP (True Power) 750 Watts - PHP4,500. Unfortunately they ran out of stock for the 650 Watts at PHP3,500. Also initially I was planning to get the 550 Watts for PHP2,500 but I had to consider my plans to upgrade to a motherboard that will support a better CPU (such as Intel Core i7 or so). And a possibility (kung tinopak ako) for trying out an SLI configuration. So for now, napagastos ako pero if I push through with my plans, tipid din siya in the long run.

Jorel was very accommodating and courteous. And based on my conversation with him he's not the type na ipipilit ang mahal na price para lang magkaroon ng sales/benta. He seems to know what he's talking about (good product knowledge) and gives sound advices/recommendations based on his customers' needs. Good review for PCNetMiles Eton Branch (Ortigas)! He even offered to ship the parts to me for free, and will deliver a TipidPC Magazine for free as well.

on the 2nd rig, you can get the antec tp550 @ 2500 pesos. mas makakamura ka pero same performance lang.
after that you can make your cpu higher. go to intel i5 2300 para quadcore kana.

May tanong lang po ako bakit po ba mas mahal ang core 2 duo? kaysa core 2 quad?
anong cpu po ang mabubuo ko sa 18k??
