[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.


The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Ask ko lang,may nabasa kasi ak0ng comments na hindi daw malaki ang agwat ng c2d e7300 sa dc e5200.. Im h0ping its true para di ako manghinayang, i'll go for dc e5200 kasi because of tight budget.

Whew, ang gaan sa pakiramdam nun. Ehe. .An0ther questi0n,.. Yung mga binebenta ba sa gilm0re,like processors eh b0xed or trayed? Yung price na sinasabi nyo,anu po yun b0xed? May nabasa po kasi ak0 na yung mga trayed processors eh ginagawang b0xed ng mga sellers para kumita lalo..

boxed yan. pero kung duda ka, tignan mo ung box kung parehas ng serial number sa processor. ipapakita naman nila yan e. pero kung may mahahanap ka na tray, yun na lang. no difference naman yun e, warranty lang.

bro, review the previous posts, depende sa iyo, pwede ka mag 780G na lang na onboard muna. it can run most popular games. review mo tong thread, yung PC ni redwing(ata) yun pwedeng pwede. liitan mo lang hard disk,m mga 160Gb or 80gb pa nga. invest in a proper PSU also, kasi kelangan mo proteksyonan yung PC Parts mo, kahit HEC 400W Raptor. swak na yun.

Since para lang sa Computer Shop, ok na po 'yan.
Ano po 'yung model ng Video Card? Kung tipong 'di naman mga latest na games like Warcraft 3, CS, NBA Live, kaya na 'yan ng IGP ng 780G.

ok na yan bro, but if i were you, I'd skip the video card first, or install it lang on 3-5 PCs.

why? kasi pagdating namn ng customers mo, Dota lang namn lalaruin nyan or cabal or whatever. kayang kaya ni 780G yan. pagnagka demand ka lang tsaka ka na magupgrade ng VC. your VC kasi consumes a lot of power, sometimes equal to the whole system without VC. so parang X2 pa yung kuryente mo.

pero again, nasa iyo yan, just sharing my opinion po.


meron din pala na 400W yang HEC Raptor. P1800.

tapos E5200 vs E7300? sa E5200 ako, kasi mas bang for the buck. price performance ratio... wag lang OC. hehe...



EDIT:
Box vs Tray: wala pala difference sa intel. same din warranty. well, sa intel and depende na lang siguro sa store.

nabasan ko na ung review kaso di ko maintindihan.. hehehe..

pang core 2 duo at for games..

type ko kc asus kya eto napagpilian ko.. saka supported quad core..
pwde din kaya d2 ung mga bagong labas na VC?

xenxa na kung makulit ako!

bukas ko na bibilin eh..

eto nga pla ung review nila..

baka my mas maganda n rin kau suggestions..(budget 4,000)

the difference is just certain features on the board... if you don't get it, it doesn't matter. XD

pero try getting this board if your stuck on G31.

for 4K you can get a far better board. kung kukuha ka rin ng VC, i'd have to suggest MSI P43 Neo-F

how much is the package? we'll just tell you if its worth it or not. frankly if that package costs more than 12K i wouldn't touch it with a 10foot pole.
Again, PC Stores who offer these kinds of packages are just getting rid of OLD inventory. and by old i do mean 3 years old. its not going to last long and becomes more expensive in the long run.


But this is my opinion, the final word is up to you, remember we already gave you a quote and specifications to suit your needs.

Sorry bad trip kasi e. haha! ang yabang pala ng dating. ganito na lang, kung ayaw mo ng 20K, isagad mo na budget mo... or kung ayaw mo maghanap, magbuo etc, bumayad ka na lang ng tao. madami naman diyan...

There's a question that's been bugging me for a while.

For the NVidia cards, what's the difference between the "GT", "GS" and "GSO" sa mga model names? (Including the "GTX" suffix on the newer cards) Wala lang curious lang.

And I've been thinking on purchasing a DVI LCD monitor. Any ideas for a 6K budget? OK sana kung supported ang malalaking resolution. (1280x960 preferably) I don't really like widescreens, kaya I was wondering if there are non-widescreen LCDs. I have no idea kasi puro widescreen nakikita ko. But if there are any, 'yun ang gusto kong bilhin.
