[ADVISE] Help in Assembling/Building/Choosing/Upgrading Your Computer

Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:

usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:

Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

I prefer 6870 over 7750. Pero, baka medyo mahal.

Pwede naman Crossfire sa Intel, a.
Dati, nagtaka din ako kung magwowork ba ang ATI graphics sa Intel.
Pero, wala naman epeks. Same pa rin.

mga bro naka buo na ako ng rig dahil sa suggestion nyo at mabangis na hehe, simple lang pero oks na oks.

pabuo ako ng torrent rig ko at good na for browsing and streaming.

target ko is 24/7 ang pc while downloading sa torrent.

syempre ATOM ang proc,

ung magiging mabilis sa file transfer at less power consumtion pa, at matibay ang psu syempre, (pero need paba ng psu sa torrent rig?) hehehe and syempre oks ang ram, at kahit ba wala na vcard diba? at mataas ang disk space.

Reference cards yung Sapphire while yung sa HIS non-reference. Mas okay yung sa HIS.

Budget? Tska tingin ko hindi available ang ATOM sa retail market. Mostly sa lowend notebooks nilalagay yan at prebuilt yung mga yun.

saka po kaya po kaya ng PSU ko po 600W lang po kasama nung casing ko nung binili ko po Orion 5827, saka napapalitan po kaya ng Hi-end ng PSU po b ung casing ko??

ito po pala ung specs ng PC ko

Mas ok ang HD 7750. Palitan mo yung PSU, mukang generic gamit mo.

Depende yun sa budget mo sa mobo. Sa PSU naman, quick recommendation ay FSP Hexa 500W 80+ nasa 2k price range.

Kaya naman.

Kung gusto mo makatipid, you can opt for the FSP Hexa 500W 80+. Since mukang sa PC Hub rin naman ata galing yan, nasa PHP 2100.00 lang yun.

Or Seasonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze for the same price. Mas ok to.
