Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

Ryzen 3000 motherboard compatibility list (not official)

note: this is not a definite guide nor a final list of motherboard compatibility for the upcoming Ryzen 3000 series processors. it just serves as an initial reference on what to expect based on the existing motherboard specs and what manufacturers has leaked and promised for upgrade. some boards can even support the new chips but may not be able to boost the clock properly due to power design limitations.

Ryzen 3000 chips have been released and 3rd party reviews are out from our suking techtubers

heto summary in general from reviewed processors, i.e. 3600, 3700x, 3900x
productivity performance is ryzen's stronghold and it holds true even now. they even beat intel's 9900k (except 3600 of course)... this is expected though
gaming performance, well, lamang pa rin si 9900k and most of intel's mainstream cpu able to reach 5ghz.
pero hindi ganun kalaki  considering the price difference, panalo si AMD sa frames per peso value
recommended RAM is DDR4 3600mhz. most, if not all, of the techtubers were only able to achieve 4.3ghz of overclocked frequency either on 1.375v to 1.5v
processors have already been tested by our techtubers that it will work with older motherboards with just a BIOS/UEFI update. performance loss, if any, is negligible and is still within the margin of error. basically, X570 mobos should only be considered kung yung top of the line na 3900x or yung lalabas pa lang sa september na 3950x ang balak mong bilhing processor. maybe kung meron ka ring case use na kailangan mo ng PCIE 4.0 devices like the latest generation of NVME storage and multiple 10gigabit ethernet cards.
kailangan pa natin ng update regarding sa local prices nila dito sa pinas. so far, best combo pa rin ang 3600 at b450 setup... though di ako sigurado kung supported ng older 400 series chipset ang higher ram speeds :noidea:

Radeon RX 5700XT and 5700 reviews are also out

summary: dahil sa biglang price cut nila, yung supposed target nila for their competition (Super series), biglang nagbago... mahirap na na tapatan to ng nvidia unless pati sila mag-price cut din.
medyo snubbed lang sila dahil walang specialized ray tracing feature sila... which in my opinion might end up like nvidia's hairworks :lmao:
don't get me wrong, ray tracing is an incredible technology. it was conceived in the late 60's and its technology is widely used in the movie industry since toy story... yun nga lang araw ang bilang sa per frame rendering nila.
but is it really necessary for gaming? :noidea:
that's what the new RX5700 series brings... pure performance

edit: i think ilagay ko to sa bagong thread with youtube reviews para mas marami makakita :reading:

they're still based on the Zen+ architecture kaya boost in clock speed lang advantage

Let's Test This: Ryzen 9 3900X on a B350 Motherboard
The good news for those who own entry-level AM4 motherboards is that they can easily handle the new 3rd-gen Ryzen processors, from the R5 3600 all the way up to the Ryzen 9 3900X. We observed no issues with the exception of questionable memory support, though that wasn't new from 1st and 2nd-gen Ryzen parts.
swerte naman mga naka b350 motherboard :salute:
