I tried to search a discussion thread about manga pero wala akong mahanap so here, I created one for everyone.

Dito natin pag-usapan ang mga bagay-bagay tungkol sa mga manga na binabasa natin araw-araw.

I have read 100+ mangas already since 2009 pa (onemanga pa ang sikat noon and I am reading using my mobile phone).

Anyway, I am currently reading The World Only God Knows and Private Prince. Parehong enjoy na enjoy ako basahin. I recommend Private Prince sa mga mahilig sa romcoms. It is such a good read.

I am currently reading TWGOK Vol. 17 Chapter 1 (Chapter 156).

Kung need niyo po ng recommendation ng mga magagandang basahin na manga, post niyo lang yung trip niyong genre and I will try to give some titles. Kahit "Ai" or gender-bender eh makakapagbigay ako since nakapagbasa na rin ako ng mga ganun.

Do Manhwa counts?

The only two manhwas I'm reading now is Tower of God (Web comic) and 1/2 Prince.

I love both. Bad trip lang sa 1/2 Prince kasi ang tagal ng updates. Iniipon ko nalang muna. I stopped reading at Chapter 47. Suki din ako sa Onemanga noon, pero now, wherever is fine.

I recommend Tower of God. Hindi nga lang sya ganun ka-sikat and artwork is not that great. It has its perks though.

I use to love reading mangas back in highschool. Lalo na yung mga one shots.
Nowadays, I prefer watching TV series & movies.

If you could recommend me one or two based from what I'm currently reading, that would be awesome.
Ongoing or not is fine. Wag na yung manga/manhwa like Naruto, Bleach or One Piece. Nakakalula sa dami na eh.

By the way, ang binabasa ko ay Hajimete No Aku, Kuroko No Basket, Fantasista, Last Inning, Good Ending..tapos ung mga mainstream tulad ng Naruto..etc..

@Angel Manhwa/Manhua do counts na rin since nowadays it is considered as a genre na rin ng manga. Anyway, gender-bender kasi ang 1/2 Prince and may alam akong magandang gender-bender pero hindi lang siya action or fantasy. Pero same lang rin na romcom. Yamada-kun to 7-Nin no Majo kaso bagu-bago pa lang and ang alam ko ay meron pa lang itong 19 (more or less, too lazy to check it on Google) chapters. Or you can try THESE as well:

1. Futaba-kun Change! - (another typical gender-bender na ecchi)
2. Id - (she is actually a he, but you can be confused sometimes dahil sa itsura. almost the same scenario and characterization sa 1/2 Prince)
3. No Bra! - (gender-bender lang talaga ito with a touch of romcom pero you'll be disappointed sa ending but still a good read)
4. Kampfer - (same na same ang idea/story sa 1/2 Prince though hindi siya laro lol)
5. Yureka - (exactly the same as 1/2 Prince)

I can give out some titles if you want more.

@netlurk Bro sa anymanga, mangareader and mangafox ako laging nagbabasa. But I prefer anymanga dahil simple lang ang itsura ng website nila and madaling basahin yung manga dahil maliit lang ang screensize, meaning less loading time compared to big manga sites.

Parang maganda yung Yamada-kun to 7-Nin no Majo & Yureka. I'll try it out.

The rest.. pass nalang ako.

Hindi ako masyado mahilig sa ecchi eh. Parang puro lang kasi fan service. Kung magbabasa lang ako ng may ecchi, maghahanap nalang ako ng h*ntai na may magandang story. Pero medyo mahirap lang maghanap ng ganun since sobrang daming sex lang yung highlight ng story.

Hindi rin pala ako ganun kahilig sa gender benders. One of the reasons I read 1/2 Prince is because nasa first page sya ng Mangafox before and since tungkol sya sa online game (I'm ex-online gamer myself), I tried it out and really liked the story. I love heroines.

Mas gusto ko rin sa gender bender yung gal na naging guy & not the other way around. Siguro yung nagustuhan ko lang talaga na guy-naging-gal is yung Cheeky Angel. Daming tawa ko dun nung first time ko napanuod sa TV at tagalog pa. Sa ABSCBN yata yun. Can't remember. Matagal na din.

Naalala ko din pala, tinapos ko din basahin yung Psyren. Hindi lang ganun kaganda yung ending kasi parang minadali and unrealistic. Okay naman yung mismong plot. Yung pagka-mystery ng mundo nila.

Psyren
Yoshina Ageha is a high school student who offers to help people with their problems for 10,000 yen. He'll take care of your stalkers, find your lost animal, whatever you want. One day when he's heading home, a nearby pay phone rings, and he picks it up. The only thing he hears however is his own voice echoing. Same here. Di rin naman ako mahilig sa ecchi, pero karamihan kasi ng mga super funny manga (pati na rin anime) eh may tema talaga ng ecchi kaya ayun napipilitan lang rin ako.

Ohhh akala ko eh gender-bender talaga ang trip mo, hahaha sorry.

If games naman, try mo panoorin yung Sword Art Online and basahin na rin. Astig din siya saka yung Accel World. All about MMORPG with a good fantasy tweak.

Psyren is good manga DAW. Hindi ko pa siya nababasa dahil hindi ko trip ang mga mystery or dark theme na manga. Mas prefer kong basahin ang romcom or fantasy. Mahirap kasing ipasok sa utak ang mga tema tungkol sa kamatayan at iba pang dark. xD

I have read a heap of mangas from almost all genre. I started in Onemanga too. But now I'm reading in Mangafox, Mangahere, Mangatraders, MangaReader, MangaHut, Manga-go, MangaStream, Batoto and I'm an avid user of Baka-manga. I'm so hooked with mangas that I have them downloaded through Domdomsoft manga downloader.

My manga favorite mangas (from all genre) are:
1. Bitter Virgin (Best story, it's not what you think it is!) I 100% recommend this!!
2. The Last Game (Very nice love story, not your typical shoujo) 100% recommend this also!
3. Hunter X Hunter (For me, it's the best anime/manga in terms of the creativity of the author. It's the pioneer of rpg related manga . Best friendship manga too )
4. Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu (Nice story, kinda typical with little twist)
5. I have a lot in mind but I forgot the titles. Oh, its followed by One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, etc.

There are many mangas nowadays, most are not worth reading =.= but I'll read them anyways :-P hahaha.

Btw, paki-recommend din nang manga na magandang basahin Any genre halos nabasa ko na lahat. Huwag lang pala yung shoujo-ai, yuri, yaoi kasi sobrang dami ang sexual scenes =.= Nawawala kasi yung stories kapag ganon.

I have also read Bitter Virgin and yes, super nice talaga ng storya. Maganda din para sakin ang ending.

Madami na talagang mga bagong manga pero common na ang karamihan. You can find one or two or three manga na same lang ang storya. Naiba lang ng characters and setting which is quite disappointing. I prefer reading 2010 or before na manga. xD

Anyway, here are some on my list (karamihan ay romcom) na pwede kong i-recommend sayo (100% free from ecchi or "ai")

1. Private Prince - dalawang katauhan ng male protagonist at nakakatawa ang love story.

2. Zettai Joousei - same lang ng Private Prince ang plot pero nagkaiba sa level ng comedy at kabaliktaran ito ng PP. Dahil ang mayaman dito is yung girl.

3. Yanki-kun to Megane-chan - maganda din ito and ang plot ay interesante. On-going pa rin ito and nasa volume 2 pa lang ako pero na-hook na ako. I am still reading this.

4. Obaachan wa Idol - this is not a romcom manga pero comedy siya. Yung lola ay bumata at naging kaedad ng apo niya and pareho silang pumapasok na sa school ng apo niya.

5. Kaichou wa Maid-sama - romcom na sikat na sikat ngayon pati yung anime version nito ay sikat rin.

6. Kimi ni Todoke - one of the best romantic anime/manga na nabasa ko. Super satisfying ang pagbabasa lalo ang panonood.

Marami pa akong naiisip kaso ang karamihan ay maiikli lang. Hindi ko kasi trip magbasa ng mga mahahabang manga.

Yeah. Medyo dark nga yung Psyren. Naintriga lang ako kasi nasa top 10 ng mangafox. So why not coconut.

Yeah, I second Kimi ni Todoke too. Napanuod ko na muna 'to before bago binasa. Kinukulit kasi ako ng sis ko na try ko daw para may ka-kwentuhan sya. Pero nakalimutan ko nalang yata 'to subaybayan both manga/anime. Sasali ko nalang uli sa listahan ko. That reminds me, I need to watch the Live Action nga pala. Ang ulyanin ko na. Haha.

@Loki Sakisaka Io and Aikawa Saki are both good romcom (with a good touch of drama) mangaka. I love how they incorporate feelings so well into a visual thing and into words.

Thank you for naming out some titles which tbh, are not familiar to me except some like Kimi to Koi no Tochuu, Blue, Strobe Edge. I prefer reading kasi based on the reviews of people and not based on the mangaka. Since you recommended it, I will try to read those mangas on the coming weekends. Thank you again~!

Sawako/Sadako is one of the best anime char and for that, I prefer watching the anime version than reading the manga. Sa anime kasi, maririnig mo yung mismong sinasabi niya and madadama mo talaga unlike sa manga na halos lahat ay blank at walang "conversation bubble" nanagaappear which it leaves the "lines" to the readers. Nevertheless, the manga will give you a good read and the anime will leave you with nothing but "AWESOME".

And woahh, may live action ang Kimi ni Todoke? It is the first time I have heard about it, I'll better start searching now. Thanks for the awesoooomeeeee info.

@netlurk I haven't read Psyren but I have read (a lot) of threads about it on the net. Some are still hoping that there will be a sequel pero most are doubting that there will be. And I agree with you, Gantz is a good manga. Saktung-sakto lang sa panlasa ko ang dark + action theme nito unlike Psyren na masyadong dark.

ako lately lang ako naging active sa pagbabasa aside from naruto and bleach dati ko pa kasi binabasa mga un, what brought me to the manga world ay ung anime na "Suzuka" dahil na nabitin ako sa anime eh decided to read the manga kaya ayun, simula nun nagbabasa narin ako. mga natapos ko na mga 15+ manga already (Usually all are in borderline H.. lol) nung last 3 months lang ako nagsimula magbasa-basa

Synopsis

The future is a great unknown. Throughout history, those who have been graced with the power to read it have been sought by many. In this day and age, the term "prophet" is outdated. "Precog," as in precognition, is the modern term.
