Pwede bang mag install ng drivers sa linux using command line only? Na curious lang ako. Linux ung gamit ko sa server which is Cent OS

pwede yan kung meron kang makukuha, pero alam ko si cent os is cmd line based lang and walang gui parang core lang kasi yan for server purpose and security

yes compatible po si MSoffice kay Linux LIBRE OFFICE.... na bubuksan po ang MSWord halimba sa LibreOffice Writer...

pag sa LibreOffice Writer ka nmn gumawa, nababasa rin sya pag dating sa MSoffice... i save as WORD2007/2010 mo lang sya...

Hp proliant ml150 g6 ung server (2 slots for network cable) and heto ung balak ko i-install na hardware 458492-B21 HP NC382T PCI Express Dual Port Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter. Bale heto kasi ung error na nakukuha ko sa isang interface Device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization. Tinry ko ung mga fixes online regarding mac address but no luck.

Bale balak ko bumili ng network adapter, yun lang inaalala ko is baka maghanap ng drivers after install, cli based pa naman ung server.

Pls specify kung what applications you need, for what purpose? Theres a lot of softwares for Linux. Just specify what application you need. Thanks.

Logically pano maba virus linux sa sobrang un popular ayaw pag aksayahan ng panahon ng mga gumagawa virus. security lang hanap mo eh di mag deep freeze ka., i don't like linux bcoz it's not user friendly.,mag iinstall ka lang dadaan kapa sa complikadong command.,bwiset!.,

Pero, regarding deep freeze.... nakakatawa lang.... hahahaha.
Convenient ba para sayo gumamit ng deep freeze?
kelangan mo stop ang service ng DP if you need to save files, even applications saving data and configuration changes.
So for that, DP is really not an anti-virus solution. You still have to reach a point where you have to getb out of the sandbox to save things, giving opening
for malwares to attack your system.

Matagal na akong curious kung ano ba itong linux na ito. Ang natry ko pa lang kasi before is yung CentOS and Debian (which is ginamit kong OS sa private server ko dati ng Ragnarok) pero aside from using it as a server for an online game, wala na akong idea pa kung ano talaga ang Linux.

This thread is very useful para sa akin. I will start using a Linux OS. But I have a few questions lamang po (please limit the technical terms po as much as possible for a dummy/newbie like me hehe).

1. I have read na Zorin ang puwede kong gamitin since user-friendly daw siya. But limited lamang ba ang OS na ito compared to other Linux OS?
2. I know how to use Wine dahil yun rin ang ginagamit ko to install some Windows programs needed for Linux sa server ko dati (example is SVN and such) but if gagamit ako ng Wine to install Adobe CS6 for example, kakayanin ba?
3. How about for games like Call of Duty: Ghosts or online games like DotA2 and League of Legends? Is it possible to install those games sa Linux using Wine or other programs na parang Wine?

answer no. 1 : Zorin OS is not limited. It is based on UBUNTU and therefor inherits app-base from repositories of Ubuntu. Feel free to use it if that's what you feel good for you.
answer no. 2 : Yes gagana yan.
answer no. 3 : Probably it will work. For better info, check wine's official site for status of this games.

Dagdag ko lang, HP is one of the main (how could I describe it well?) supporter of Linux and most of their devices have Linux drivers. I don't use Cent OS.
Kung sa Linux mint kasi, automatic na yan using device manager.

Games, specially those popular ones probably will work on wine. Please check the AppDB of WIne for App status.
Click Browse Apps at the right and edit the filter accordingly to search the games you want to check the status of.

DeepFreeze....hmmmm, I don't think you'll gonna be using deep freeze on Linux. What for? You don't need it on Linux.

hindi mo na kailangan ng deep freeze, bago ka makapag install kailangan alam mo ung password. kung exe file naman ang gagamitin nila hindi din aandar basta, kailangan pa iset sa wine , regards sa games ang natry ko na gumana is ragnarok, tantra, c&c3 and dota 2

Lightweight po sya ^_^
Pag start pa lang sa Windows, around 1.06Gb na RAM na ung kinakain, pero sa Linux, 200+Mb lang.
Galeng din ng effects ng desktop environments, nakaka-aliw lalo na ung KDE
Tas ginagamit ko sya pang software development, hehe. Minsan lang kasi naglalag ung Netbeans ko sa Linux, unlike sa Windows. -_-
