Queen vs Rook Engdame

Paano halimbawa kung umabot ang game ninyo ng kalaban mo na ang natitirang piyesa na lang ay Queen and King sayo, at King and rook na lang sa kalaban mo. Paano mo ipapanalo ang endgame na eto. I have seen many games in which ung player na may queen ay hindi alam ang gagawin kung paano ipanalo eto. And idea dito is either to separate your opponent's rook to his queen, so yo can win the rook with q queen fork, or mate your opponent's king.

Genaral guidelines kung ano gagawin dito.
1. Your king should closely follow your opponent's king.
2. Dalhin mo ang king ng kalaban mo sa edge.
3. Once nasa edge, you must force a zugwang, para lumayo si rook kay king.
4. Your queen should always be on the look, sa possible rook checks ng kalaban mo na mag separate sa king mo at king ng kalaban mo.

Looking at National book store, marami ngayon magaganda na chess book that you could use for a lifetime. So kung sino dito gusto mag improve, I suggest you buy Understanding Chess Endgame by GM Nunn and The Ultimate Chess Puzzle Book by GM Emms. Sa mga baguhan pa talaga sa chess, pero alam na ang rules, maganda iyung How To Beat Your Dad by GM Murray. Kung may mga gusto naman matutunan ang Chess, there are good books there also like Portable Chess Coach

With out the doubt My system and dvoretsky books are great. Pero kung ung player ay nagsisimula pa lamang chess, these two books are to advance for them. I suggest sa mga nagsisimula pa lamang sa chess ay basahin ninyo mga books ni Seirawan.

Anyway,kung sino po dito gusto sumali ng chess tournament(nation wide), ung link below listings ng chess tournament na pwede ninyo salihan. Alam ko may iba diyan natatakot sumali ng chess tournament. Pero hindi po dapat matakot, masaya sumali ng tournament, dami ka makikilala, may magiging kaibigan ka din Kung matalo ka man sa games, it will make you a better player(playing against good opponents). Saka ang dami din bata(ung iba nga 6 years old) na sumasali. So kung ang bata nga sumali, ano pa kaya ang adult. Kaya huwag na po magalangan. Dami din girls na sumasali.

Knight vs Bishop

Sino ang mas malakas bishop or knight? Ang sagot diyan ay depende sa posisyon. Ang bishop ay malakas pag ang posisyon ay bukas at mayroon siyang good diagonals na pwede galawan. Ang kabayo ay malakas sa closed position.
