Help local web based software

Hi Guys my local web based software ako na ang set ay naka installed sa application server then access sya ng workstation via web browser , my question is if hindi allowed ang folder sharing " Government IT policy states that shared folder through SMB is not allowed as it is not secure " within network ano ang alternative way para ma access ang folder? kasi my mga files na need maaccess ng workstation for displaying like images and etc. please see attachment for codes to access the shared folder . if cloud based naman po anong cloud server site ang maganda gamitin para pamalit at ung codes pano maaccess un ng software ko
