I, too, learned the HARD way. Overclocking fail. Check. Bios update fail. Check. Lesson is... Never change any settings in the blue screen(BIOS) not until you have an idea why you're changing it and what it does.

It's my pleasure to be able to impart my "little" knowledge about PC maintenance to my fellow Symbianizers. Pasensya na lang muna at medyo hindi ko pa na-update ito. Medyo na-busy lang IRL. Rest assured that I will continue this in the near future.

Hi there, fellow noob. Eset Smart Security is heavier in features, so to speak, than Eset NOD32. It's a more complete package because it also has Personal Firewall and Antispam. But other than those two mentioned, both of them share the same features and function.

I, too, learned the HARD way. Overclocking fail. Check. Bios update fail. Check. Lesson is... Never change any settings in the blue screen(BIOS) not until you have an idea why you're changing it and what it does.

Experience is indeed a sonavabitch kind of teacher. But at least, we learn.

I think ang salitang noob ay nangaling na lang sa mga tambay sa computer shop na sa NINUNONG SALITANG "NOVICE" para siguro mas cool pakingan ang NOVICE ginawa nilang NOOB! haha

Ok na topic sir. padre... kaya lang napansin ko po.. ang usapan dito e how to protect windows only..

suggestion ko lang nman kung gusto mo safe ang computer mo from virus, malware & spyware use

Linux hndi mo na kailangan pa ng anti virus at malware bytes .. wala pang file corruption at system

registry error: totaly safe.. and secure suggestion lang naman

The reason why this is mostly for Windows users is because I own a Win XP operated PC. And these "tuts" were a product of my experiences while using that operating system. Based on what I read on Linux, it is a good alternatve for Wndows-based operating systems. However, the problem I would definitely encounter with Linux is compatibility. It is a fact that not all softwares/games/programs are supported by Linux. Most of the softwares today are intended for Windows. It's a sad fact, really. But then, nothing I can really do about it.

i understand po sir.. maaring talo nga ang Linux pagdatin sa gaming..

pero kung apps programs sa pc.. panalo po ang linux.. lahat ng program sa linux ay free and opensource alternative..

halimbawa po Open Office ay MS Office 2007 compatible ....

sa photoshop naman ay Gimp same function... at lahat po yun e libre..

marami po syang free alternative software... mas ok po yan sa mga walang budget kesa mag pirata(not safe)....

pero agree po ako sa tutorial nyo very usefull po yan para sa mga windows user..

Dagdag ko TS, About "Firewall"

Alam na ninyo siguro Windows Firwall sucks..

Protected ka lang sa inbound connection.. tama?

But using a third party application your both protected to inbound and outbound connection

One good Alternative is Comodo Firewall: Good po sya para sa mga noob

But im using online Armor try nyo po and decide...

Bakit pa po ba dapat mag install nito? (hinde ko po sure lahat to?)

Im not a pro pero madame naden po akong alam sa pc..

Kung may mga apps na kokonect sa net tatanungen ka muna sa una kung papayagan mo.. at kung may prog ka na kakaiba ginagawa lalo na ung mga crack, keygen and hacking prog Haaa! malalaman mo ngaun na hahack ka na pala.. (hinde naman po kase dapat yan kumokonek sa net)
