guys, totoo ba yung narinig ko na wala na daw 'bond' and mga call centers. nasa labor code na daw. so pwede na maghopping!

hindi nga.. wala akong balita tungkol dyan.. kung totoo yan eh di ok..

kahit may bond naman, certified hopper na ako eh!

ibig sabihin po ng 'bond' ay parang engaged ka sa isang contract or commitment ng company..

may specific na timeframe na kailangan kang mag-stay sa company at pag di mo na-meet yun ay may babayaran kang penalty..

parang early cancelation fee ng mga internet broadband plans na may 24mos. contract..

sasabihin yan sa'yo upon signing of contract.. na may bond contract within 6-12 months (normally) and there's a fine of 20K-50K if you resigned within that period..

ganyan na ang lakaran ngayon sa call centers kasi marami ng hoppers..

Ask ko lng sir..bago pa lng ako sa industry ng call center is there a training kapag pumasok ako?? or on the field agad ako magwo2rk??? mei mga company kasi na kumukuha ng employee na no experience?? tsaka anu maiiadvice mo sa mga newbie ...na pde namin kuhain na field sa call center..csr,ts.etc
..uhm pde maka hingi ng sample format ng resume nyo sir na ginamit nyo nung nag-apply kayo??,....hehhe

yes, there is a training for newly hired associates.. even for those who already have experience in this field.. a week or 2 training for communication skills then followed by the product training..

everyone needs to be trained.. kahit naman may experience ka ay wala ka pang alam sa mga systems, tools at processes for the new account.. their only advantage is in call handling coz they are already aware of the call flow process..

advise.. hmmm.. first, work on your communication skills.. dyan kasi nagkakatalo sa hiring process eh.. that's the company's major requirement.. at maraming bumabagsak sa application dahil sa wrong grammar, pronunciation, enunciation.. etc.. etc..

practice ka muna para ma-build up yung confidence mo at the same time.. biruin mo sa dami ng applicants sa bpo only few were able to get the job offer.. narinig ko nga sa CVG na sa 100 applicants, only 2-5 ang nakakapasa.. maswerte na kung maka-7 sila.. haaay..

but don't be afraid for what i've said coz there's a lot of bpo companies out there.. so if you really want the job then work for it..

CSR or TSR? depende yan sa skills mo.. kung techie ka mas ok kung mag-tsr ka.. pero minsan depende yan sa company kung saan ka nila ilalagay.. aside from that may SALES din po.. kaya kung magaling ka sa sales talk eh magagamit mo yan..

yun tungkol sa resume.. wait mo si enzoy kasi siya yung nagbigay ng example ng resume before eh.. or backread ka lang para makita mo yung link na pinost niya..

your right about the 3-5 out of 100 applicants in CVG ehsmie. Like in our wave, were still 17 people left but i know more than half has to go. Shit, i'm feeling anxious.. I have lots of 'what ifs' running through my mind right now.. Guys any suggestion what company to apply if ever i get pulled out?hehe shit.

misserably failed in phone simulation test.. grabe..iba ang environment sa loob ng company.. Well they gave me a card for a retest..

Bigla akong nautal sa phone simulation sa sobrang tense... Pag first timer talaga possible kang bumagsak, or swerte kang pumasa...

What do you think?..should i take a retest??

Only you can answer if you really like to take the retest. But if you ask for my opinion, I'd encourage you to go ahead and try your luck the second time. More important than the chance to get hired is the opportunity to expose yourself to a series of examination which will give you enough idea on how the process go about. As you go along, you will undoubtedly be more confident as you take those kinds of tests in the future. And again, confidence is a very vital key here. Mastering your confidence is already a feat. So go for it!

tama ka dyan na talagang expected na maraming bumabagsak sa first trial.. coz super culture shock ka talaga.. agree din ako sa swerte factor!

and like what enzoy said, it still depends on you.. if you will pursue your application or not..

bigyan lang kita ng mga idea kung ano ba ang talagang job description ng isang call center agent and i hope it will help you..

being a call center agent is not an easy job, stressful siya to the point na gusto mong mag-quit at anytime.. sabi nila basta magaling kang mag-english tama na yun.. actually no.. kasi may grades kang kailangang i-maintain.. maraming metrics na dapat ipasa mo every month.. like being a student where you are being graded and monitored.. kapag may failed metrics ka, coaching ang katapat mo.. pag umabsent ka hindi lang sermon ang makukuha mo kundi pati memo kahit minsan ay valid ang reason.. kapag di maganda ang performance mo at anytime pwede ka nilang i-terminate.. kaya hindi lang basta englishan ang labanan dito.. plus yung routine mo totally magbabago.. kahit na sabihing sanay ka sa puyatan, iba pa rin ang shifting sa call centers..

working student ako nung college at galing ako sa company na 12hrs ang shift from 6am-6pm and vise versa, but still working in a graveyard shift the whole time is really tiring at nakakasawa..

pero ang maganda naman is malaki yung sweldo, may mga bonuses like commissions lalo na pag na nasa sales ka, pag perfect attendance at kung passing mga grades mo.. maraming activities., team building at get together.. inuman,, party party lalo na pag payday.. marami ring opportunities para tumaas ang position mo as long as maganda ang performance mo.. tapos marami ka pang matututunan.. tungkol sa mga processes, systems, mga updates.. isama mo na ang libreng internet sa ibang company.. hehe!

so kung ako sa iyo pag-isipan mo.. baka way na yan para matanggap ka coz of the second chance na binigay sa'yo.. isipin mo na lang na di lahat nabibigyan ng pagkakataon..

hmmm.. yung tungkol naman sa'yo, bakit ka nila ililipat ng account? usually kasi kapag ganyan ay may nakita silang mas deserving sa position mo kaya ililipat ka nila.. yan ang alam ko.. pero kung interview lang naman ang labanan eh saan ka ba nahihirapan.. sa mga tanong ba or kung paano sagutin yung tanong? or what?

kung confidence ang labanan.. kaya mo yan.. kung nakapasok ka nung una bakit sa pangalawa ay hindi.. yan ang kulang mo tiwala sa sarili.. practice ka lang ng english mo.. pero kung final interview na.. usually more on qualifications questions na yan.. about your skills at background mo.. wala ng masyadong kakaibang questions dyan.. siguro mga behavioral at situational na lang.. kaya mo yan papa jaks.. hehe!

datz.. don't be so pessimistic.. think positive!

di ka pa man din nakakapag-take ng calls ganyan na iniisip mo.. training ka palang nyan ah.. paano na kung nasa live action ka na taking calls?? kung maghahanap ka ng ibang company eh marami dyan.. but the question is, if you failed in your current company, what will be the other companies reason to hire you?

you need to prove to yourself first that you are qualified for the job.. like what i always say.. it's really difficult at the start.. pero lahat naman dumaan dyan eh.. sipag, tiyaga, patience. concentration, effort, courage.. lahat yan kailangan mo para manatili ka sa trabaho..

sabi nga nila kung "di mo mamahalin ang trabaho mo, ay hindi ito magtatagal sa'yo..

pinasok mo ang trabaho na ito,, wala namang pumilit siguro sa'yo.. so be a man! prove that you deserve this job!

iwasan ang sobrang kape ok.. take energy drinks instead..

ang sabi sakin nung hr ang offer daw sa account sa north eh 15 + 3k allowance

The usual stress and fear of first times. Quite understandable. Okay, let's play a pretend game. Say, I am your friend and I will ask you,

why call center?
why that company?

Is it still difficult? Can you answer those questions ? More often than not, we are terrified during interview because we think that the person we are talking with is someone of a higher position and whatever answer we give might blow this chance up. That inferiority may or may not be true. But what if we replace that idea with ' this person is interested in knowing you better?' Does that feel more comforting? You can do it!

note: I am not quite sure about other companies. But more often than not, during final interview, they do not really dwell on computer-related questions. They are more on:

Why would we hire YOU of all the applicants?
What can the company benefit from you?
What can you do for the company?

Usually we tend to to always put the best foot forward to the extent of lying. That is a misconception. Experienced interviewers can easily notice that.

**As a first timer, I suggest you emphasize your dedication to the company, determination and drive for excellence.
**If you had been an employee before, you may focus on experience (especially if your previous work is related to the job your applying for), efficiency and energy.


p.s. During interviews it is always better to be as honest as possible. But if you really have to lie, stick to it.

btw..may tumawag sa akin kanina..pero di ko nasagot...its just a landline no. On my cp.. Thinking of it...di ko alam kung anu yun..dahil impossible naman na tatawagan ako for interview, eh bumagsak na sa phone simulation..

ahh.. naka-sign ka na pala ng contract eh.. baka for formality reasons lang yung final interview since malilipat ka ng ibang sites kaya huwag ka ng kabahan..
