How to make your own home solar. With Pictures + solar book

Sa cdr King if you are in the province or sa Raon if you are around Manila (but beware of fake sa Raon!)

First I'm not very knowledgeable about tie grid system...
I think it depends on what you intend to do. If you want to use a tie-grid inverter ONLY with an off grid system it could be possible (but I'm not sure of that!!) as long as the inverter is not connected to the grid.
If you want to use a tie gird inverter both for charging your batteries while using the inverter directly from the panels, you use what we call a hybrid inverter which is made for this kind of use...

Note: pure sine wave inverters exist also for off grid system!

Edit: the more I think of it and the less I'm sure that a grid-tie inverter could work solely for an off grid system!!! because of the difference of voltage from the grid... :noidea:

Hybrid inverter system... marami seller/installer sa Solar Power Philippines FB group...

An example of power flow in a hybrid inverter system. The inverter can direct power to a load or the grid if needed, or store it in batteries if not. It can also use power from the grid if needed. -

How to tell if the battery is bad?
Answer: Load Test the battery. If the battery appears to be fully charged but when a load is applied, the voltage instantly drops, then the battery is bad. So what do you do? Continue to use it until it becomes unusable... then replace the battery.

Sir tanung lang.. meron ako 3pc 12watts and 2pc 7watts Buld 220volts and 1pc 500watts inverter.. Ilan battery AH para mapahilaw ko sila 2pcs 12watts run 16hours a day and the rest 18hours.

my estimates:

17w (average) AC bulbs to run 17.3 hours (average) using 500W inverter (>80% efficient)

DoD of Battery after 17.3 hrs running:
* if 40ah = 68%
* if 70ah = 39%
* if 100ah = 27%

therefore, para tumagal ang buhay ng battery dapat ay 70ah or 100ah ang gagamitin.

As said Sir Tristan 70 Ah is ok but to make sure that your bat will last better take a 100 Ah... especially considering the inevitable losses.... what about controller & panel?

Sir Bali yun 3pcs 12watts and 2pcs 7watts.. kakayanin n yung 70ah or 100ah n battery to run po ang mga ilaw... Controller ko sir 10am pwm panel 1 60watts and 1 20watts.. meron n ako bat 2pcs 26ah ..

using 52ah battery (2x26ah), after running 18 hrs, IF you use the inverter the DoD is 52%, compared to 47% DoD if you use DC led bulbs.
