... Epsolar LS2024B PWM scc din ang ginagamit ko with 2x80W panel... 1 year and 8 mos ko na ginagamit, 24/7 walang pahinga... hindi pa rin pumapaltos... very accurate pa rin ang performance nya... dati 3K ang bili ko dito sa probinsya namin... bumaba na yata ang price dahil marami na ang seller.

3 months old na po ang aking 100ah solar master battery.solar panel direct charging,pinaabot ko lagi sa 15 volts tapos diskonek na sa panel,dati po ang reading ko ay 13.xx volts, kahit rest in 10 hours,pero ngayong magtatatlong buwan na 12.7x volts na lang reading rest in 6 hours,maam/sir normal pa po ba solar master battery ko? thank po

15 volts palagi is too high... especially if you use your battery while charging. You should not go over 14.80 maximum charging with no load and 14.40 maximum charging with load.
Because your battery was brand new, it charged fast and well but you slightly overcharged it for 3 months! 12.70 is still 100% charge but I think you need to check the water level and add, if necessary, distilled water. And stop charging it up to 15 volts!

12.7V reading after 6 hours rest is very normal for Motolite Solar Master 100AH... it means that the State of Charge (SoC) is 100%.

marami na ako nabasa sa internet na hindi dapat araw araw pinapa-abot sa 15V ang charging... example, sa Epsolar scc, ang naka-program na equalization charging ay every month lang... however, meron din ako nabasa na "at least 4 times a year" ay OK na... sa dahilan na pinaabot mo lagi sa 15 volts, dapat ay check mo lagi ang electrolyte level... dapat palagi naka-lubog ang mga plates.

bakit masama ang "over charge condition"?.. "That over charge corrodes the plates and they begin to flake off. As that happen you lose capacity because of loss of plate material."
 
thanks po maam awinahe at sir tristanWS sa paalala,sundin ko po payo ninyo,checked ko yung electrolyte level halos di pa naman nabawasan,kahit yung 3sm motolite car batt. ko 9 months old na oke pa rin, direct charging din sa solar panel pero konti pa lang nabawas na electrolyte,

ang tanong... alin ang mas mabilis maka-sira ng lead acid battery, OVERCHARGING? or UNDERCHARGING?

... nag research na ako sa internet... at ang sagot ay mas mabilis daw makasira ng battery ang UNDERCHARGING due to sulfation of the plates... lumalabas sa experience ni sir alarcon na totoo nga na mas SAFER ang battery kung nao-overcharge basta ba palaging naka-lubog ang mga plates sa electrolyte... sa palagay ko, yung 15V reading everyday ay sandali lang naman at dini-disconnect agad nya ang panel kaya hindi naman talaga overcharging... katunayan ay halos hindi nga nabawasan ang electrolyte level ng 3 months old 100AH solar master.

Bad news:
Nakalimutan kong alisin ang jumper cord mo for direct charging(panel to battery Inabot hanggang kinabukasan. Napansin ko lang ng umabot ng 15v ang display ng digital volt meter. Pagtingin ko nakajumper pala.

Good news:
Hindi bumigay ang aking 2x50Wp solar panels
Nakakapuno pa rin kahit may load na 15w na dc fan while charging.. (so far)

Ang laki pala ng wind turbines pinuntahan ko yung mga wind farm sa Pililla, Rizal..

sir poseidon... OKs lang yung nangyari sa iyo... para ka lang nag-equalize charging... add ka lang ng distilled water AFTER accidental overcharging... ang pinaka-epekto kasi ng overcharging ay magba-bubbles ang electrolyte kaya mabilis maubos ang water... si sir alarcon nga for 3 months pinapa-abot ng 15V charging without scc, pero OKs pa naman 100AH solar master.... base sa aking mga nabasa, mas delikado ang UNDERCHARGING dahil sulfation ang result... samantalang kung OVERCHARGING, ang pinaka-worst na epekto ay plate corrosion or nata-tanggal ang active materials sa plates.

... hehe, late na naman tayo... "Floating Wind Turbine" na ang uso.
 
Sir Tristan, back feeding ang inisip ko na magiging problema. Inabot kasi ng 24.oras na nakakabit ang panel ng direct.sa battery.
 
Hello mga masters:) Plan ko sana maglagay ng ilaw d2 sa labas namin. 50 watts na panel, 12wattsc12v na ilaw, 30Ah na lead acid battery, will run for 12hours (6pm-6am), plan ko rin lagyan ng scc na automatic na mag ilaw pag wala na araw...para kahit wala tao, iilaw na sya. kakayanin po kaya ng battery?

... regarding naman sa back feeding ng current from the battery... meron nagsasabi ng meron na blockng diode ang mga panels ngayon, pero mas mabuti na rin ang sigurado, disconnect na lang ang panel... nakatulong ang 15W dc fan... doon nag-flow ang current.

yes, ito ang estimate...
12W x 12hrs = 144W-hr, divided by 12V = 12Ah, divided by 30AH battery x 100 = 40% DoD... kayang-kaya pa rin.

yes, 15 hours battery runtime is 50% DoD... (15Ah divided by 30Ah battery x 100)... tapos recharging the batt using the 50W panel, aabutin ng more than 5 hours... (180W-hr divided by 50W panel, divided by 0.67 efficiency factor = 5.4 hours)

Salamat ulit ng marami Sir TristanWS. Im about to ask kung ilang oras magchacharge hehehe parang nabasa mo sir itatanong, nasagot agad. Sir, yung efficiency factor constant po ba yun? More power sa ating mga solaristas!

hehehe... 2 years and 10 months na kasi akong solarista, kaya naa-aninag ko na ang tinutumbok ng utak ng kapwa solarista.

afaik, yung efficiency factor ay constant... considered na ang mga system losses... nabasa ko lang sa solarpaneltalk.com (foreign forum).

sa actual experience naman, meron akong 100W panel >10A scc >70AH solar master... ginagamit ko sa 22W load (camera monitor at led lights, DC lahat) 6PM to 6AM... nare-recharge ang battery everyday, except kung maghapon ay cloudy.
 
Salamat ulit ng marami sir TristanWS. Meron din po ako set na 2v, 600A x 6pcs (series). Bale 24pcs battery kaso di ko pa naset up yung 18pcs. Nag iipon pa para sa panels po. Plan ko sana mag off grid sa gabi :)
