Pre-16th to 16th century
Why was the Philippines not colonized by the Spaniards?
• We take on the premise that Magellan set sail to discover land for the glory of Spain. The voyage is also sanctioned by the papacy with the Pope Alexander IV bulls (Inter caetera)
• Magellan lands on "Homonhon Island" (an island in the province of Eastern Samar) and gets killed by the natives. No major casualties on the natives side. No guns, weapons or supplies were recovered as it was deemed cursed and traces of the expedition were destroyed.
• The Spanish monarchy never knew what happened to Magellan.

16th century

The state of the Philippines during the death of the Spanish Explorers

• Trade with China (Happening even before the Spanish Invasion)
• Nation-states surviving
• Kingdom of Tondo around Manila Bay.
• Sulu Sultanate in power in the south, I've also read entries (in Zaide or Blair and Robertson) that some diplomats was sent to the ruling Chinese Dynasty before the Spanish Invasion.
• Rajanate of Cebu
• Kingdom of Mactan (Lapu-lapu as ruler)

To make it easier, nation-states in the regions decided to ally with each other forming a supra-government which we will divided into
• Luzon
• Visayas
• Mindanao
In around 1590s, the Philippines will make itself a nation (through the three nation-states to be agreeing about) like Thailand (Siam) in 1238 and the name will be (let’s say) Luzviminda.

Luzon
Religion: Animist/Pagan/Sinicized Shamanistic/Islam
Economy: Trades with China and rich with natural resources
Military: Average
Kingdom/Capital: Tondo/Igorots/Maynila (if Tondo, it will be a Lakandula dynasty); Seludong (Manila)

Visayas:
Religion: Animist/Pagan
Economy: Marine/Fishery Economy
Military: Average
Kingdom: no main kingdom; Mactan

Mindanao
Religion: Islam
Economy: Trades with south-east nations such as Malaysia and rich with natural resources
Military: Above Average
Kingdom: Sulu; Sulu

16th-17th Century
Three States Era of the Philippines

We now have three players, nation-states with different ideologies in three different regions. The probably scenario is a Warring-States period, similar to the Sengoku era of Japan and the period in China.

Visayas will most likely ally with Luzon as Mindanao may likely expand supported by other south east-asian nations (most likely be Brunei).

If a Stalemate happens between them. Luzon and Visayas is united under one as LuzVis and Mindanao is a united state under Islam.

The Philippines is split between the two nations of LuzVis and Mindanao. Skirmishes between them happen.

Miltary Power: Any foreign invaders are destroyed as LuzVis increased their Military Power. Mindanao reigns supreme in the south. Guns are of course introduced early on with trade.

Religion: Christian missionaries are able to freely preach but Christianity only composes a small percentage of the population. Mostly likely, there would be conflict between the Christian population and the Animist population. Islam continues to be the religion in the south.

Economy: LuzVis and Mindanao continues to trade with other countries and more routes are opened to other countries.

Culture: Indigenous culture is the main culture; Chinese may also have some effects to the culture.

I believe in this point if not Spanish the French will likely to capture our trading ship and they would likely attack Manila. The main Lakan will resist their style and negotiate with the Brits.
In around 1600-1610 the Lakan developed a desperate relationship with the French, and the French helped control the Dutch aggression. Like as always, the French will attack Tondo and the Lakan dispatched 2,000 troops to the battle area. But, the French will still return to the agreement.

The Lakan then have severed relations to the Brits to avoid becoming the last piece for a 100% Southeast Asia colony. All British troops leave Manila in around 1612.

18th century
• America declared independence, Spanish-American war happens. Philippines is not included as it was never a colony of Spain (1780s)
• Conflicts continue with LuzVis and Mindanao. Military power is Superior for both due to conflicts (1755 - ?)
• I believe that LuzVis will have strong ties with East Asia especially China (1700s)
• Neocolonialism - Foreign culture will be in the Philippines but will have minimal impact, if there is a large impact, a conflict will happen between the Conservative (Animist) and Liberals(Foreign and Christian). Animist and Conservative ideologies will reign regardless (??)
• Major war between LuzVis and Mindanao.. Both States are ravaged by war. Foreign powers profiting from war economy. Truce between the two states. Trade between each other. (1781?)
• If the war is done, they will establish a government (will be most likely that the Mindanao state will rule it. But later on, Luzon will have the right to rule it). Manila as the capital but the state of ruling is complete from Mindanao. However, this government is the most powerful but only affects the kingdoms through trade and new laws. (1790s – early 1800s)
19th century
• LuzViz and Mindanao remains peaceful. (1800 - 1823)
• LuzVis Ilokano kingdom opposes the fact that the Mindanaoans will rule the entire government as it is in Luzon. Mindanaoans has support with the Bruneis and help invade the Ilokano kingdom. Due to lack of weapons (because Mindanao is very far), the Mindanao army leaves and give the Luzon kingdoms the right to rule the government. (1823 – 1824)
• Mindanao remains allies with other south-east asian nations, possibly helping other nations from foreign powers. (?)
• LuzViz prospers and becomes powerful. (1830s)
• Mindanao sultanate decides that the Mindanao rulers will leave the national government and rules on its own. The government raised down its national flag. Mindanao will be self-independent for only a couple of months but due to its ally’s threats, the northern Mindanao kingdoms decided to be annexed to the national government. (1840s)
• In frustration, the southern Mindanao declared war against Northern Mindanao. The southern Mindanao states that no nation, state, or foreign will help Northern Mindanao instead of trades. Both sides agrees that who loses will join its nation. Due to lack of ally support, the southern Mindanao was defeated and joined Luzviminda. (1850s)
• Mindanao was kicked out from the government because of different culture. The Mindanaoans resisted but the final decision was made.(1860s)
• Luzviminda was changed to Luzvis.
• The nation-states will have reforms to modernization. The Luzvisayan spokesperson, will visit Europe to add Luzvis (Philippines) in the map. (1860s/1870s)
• The century-old government will make movement towards westernization. After the king tours around Europe, he encourages young Luzvisayans to study universities in Europe.(1870s)
• Establishes Westernized-universities and modernized-army in Luzon and Visayas. Trade between Europe and Luzvisayans.(1870s)
• Luzon and Visayas governments hire Western experts to train the people to new technology.(1890s)
• Mindanao, being left behind, depends on other foreign sultanates’ economy.(?)

20th century - WW1-WW2
• WWI happens. LuzVis and Mindanao are neutral.(1910s)
• LuzVis becomes an imperial Superpower similar to Japan.(1920s)
• LuzVis, being more powerful than Mindanao, invades the former southern nation-state and become its colony.(1921)
• Capitalism(Allies), Communism(Russia) and Fascist(Germany, Italy and Japan) Countries arise.
• Most likely LuzVis will ally with the Fascists.(1930s)
• WWII happens.(1939)
• LuzVis, being at war, the troops leaves Mindanao. Mindanao become neutral.(1940)
• Japans conquers Korea, and China(1930s)
• LuzVis attacks other SEA nations including Mindanao.
• Italy and Germany ravages Europe
• America is neutral until proved by Germany and Japan with Pearl Harbor.(1941)

This is a major plot point, to make it similar to the current situation of our world, Allies wins.
• WWII events that happen in our timeline was constant
• LuzViz and Mindanao with other SEA nations become independent.
• LuzViz likely suffers same treaties with Japan and Germany.

20th century - Post-War

• Communism prospers in Rusia
• LuzVis joins U.N.
• NoKor and China becomes communist states
• LuzViz and Mindanao in shambles, factories destroyed in both sides.
• Post-WWII policies in effect, (IMF, World Bank etc)
• Capitalism vs. Communism
• U.S.A. allies with Germany, Japan, South Korea and LuzViz to go against rising communist.
• LuzViz prospers with economic boost
• Communism fails in Russia
• NoKor and China still communist states.
• LuzVis holds a meeting with the Mindanao rulers if it agrees to be annexed or not.
• Mindanao agrees and the nation’s name is Luzviminda.

21th century and the results

Yes, the Philippines will be a modern and industrialized state with a self-sufficient economy due to rich natural resources and Production facilities from Pre-War Era.
Philippines will become a Capitalist state with its own religion and culture. Due to its almost pure eastern values, the Philippines is a collective state and will likely apply Collective Capitalism policies similar to what Japan did.

Constant conflict between the south will result in a superior and often funded military that is needed for sovereignty over the lands.
-Ilocos region will include Cagayan and Cordillera absorbing the igorots and others
-The second half will be Tagalog region, the Kapampangans would most likely disappear because of assimilation and because they’re surrounded by Tagalogs.
-The Bicol area will be smaller
-Most areas of Visayas, Midanao and northern Sulawesi will be Cebuano speakers except in Hilagayon, Yakan and Waray areas, Cebuanos will perhaps be as numerous as Javanese now.
- More weaker in Basketball and not that good at English.

This is just my own, inaccurate predictions. Di pa ako sure kung yan talaga mangyayari pero sige lang, post ko lang opinion ko rito kaysa naman na itago ko to habang buhay hahahaha!!!

i like you TS ahehehehe gusto ko mag time travel hehehehe

Ang iba pang resulta:
  • The alibata is still used today.
  • Maraming forest-tree, kasi ang tingin sa kanila ay sacred.
  • There are more Bulols.
  • More gods, like in India. Mayroong bagong diyos mula abroad idadagdag nila.
  • Mas matibay ang mga Igorots.

If Luzon helped North Mindanao, walang dating ang Southern kasi mas advanced sa gunpowder at fireworks (o bombs) at warships (kasi Chinese eh). Noong time na yon na-sakop na yung S.E.A nations kaya lack of weapons talaga.

If the Philippines is not colonized... then Yoyoy Villame will not sing MAGELLAN.

25,000 B.C. Ancient Negroid people immigrate to the Philippines over a land bridge then still connecting the archipelago with the Asian mainland. They are food gatherers and hunters, and the forefathers of today's Negritos. These people use bows and arrows and stone made implements. They live in caves.

5,000 B.C. to 3,000 B.C. The "New Stone Age". Sea faring Malays from what is today Indonesia come to the archipelago. These new settlers bring with them polished stone tools, boat building, bark and animal skin cloth making, pottery, rice planting, the process of cooking food in bamboo tubes, the techniques of making fire by rubbing two sticks together. The Negritos begin to move out of caves and settle in a scattered manner along the coasts and rivers.

3,000 B.C. to 1,000 B.C. A second wave of Malay immigrants arrives in the Philippines by sea. Each of their ships accommodated one small clan. Such a ship load of people was called a barangay, a term which was revived by Marcos to describe an organized neighborhood of more than 1000 people. The immigrants in the second wave were ancestors of today's Ifugao, Bontoc, Mangyans, and other primitive tribes. They introduced the animist religion and jar burial in The Country . Earliest metal tools of the period are made of copper, bronze, iron and gold.

200 B.C. More civilized Malays in large numbers migrate to the Philippines. They are the racial stock of the majority of today's Philippine populace.

200 B.C. to 1000 A.D. In the Iron Age beginns artistry in the Philippines in all aspects of life and work. Earrings, beads, pendants and bangles made of clay, stone and shells are developed. Body tattooing is used as well as filing and blackening teeth which were then wrapped with gold foil or studded with gold fillings.

1,000 A.D. to 1,200 A.D. In the Porcelain Age trading begins extensively with Arabia, India, Annan, China and later with the Europeans. Porcelains from different Chinese dynasties are imported.

1200 to 1300. Migrants from Borneo spread into the Southern Philippines.

1300 to 1400. The Hindu empire of Majapahit on Java gains influence over parts of the islands.

1380. Islam reaches the Southern Philippines via Borneo. In islamic areas, slavery is in the following years widely replacing head-hunting. Would be head-hunting victims become slaves that are bartered to Chinese traders. A new social order is started made up of freemen, commoners, slaves and bonded servants, all under the leadership of a datu.

1450. The Muslim sultanate of Jolo is established on the islands between Borneo and Mindanao.

1475. The Muslim sultanate of Maguindanao is founded on Mindanao. Islam spreads throughout the archipelago and even reaches central Luzon.

- the history continues....

upp upp lang po para may makabasa

Yeah, this probably would happen. But given the fact that the south was populated by Muslims, and given the fact that Islam is an expansionist religion (please correct me if I am wrong) we would probably be an advanced Islamic country.

Resources would be abundant, technology would be comparable, (if not superior) to western tech. We would invade and capture other S.E.A nations.

Our culture most likely would be expansionist. Haaa.... the possibilities that never happened.

The possible name for the Philippines is 'Maharlika'.

Challenge: What will happen if Conspiracy of Maharlika (1587-88) happened?

kaya nga gustong gusto talag ni Nor na mag karoon ng bangsamoro para maging independent ang Mindanao.. pro kong si Nor ang maging leader ay wag nalang baka sa kangkungan pulutin ang taga mindanao.
