@yang26

DMA = Direct Memory Access

it helps you to speed up data access... some games requires DMA.. (for example is suikoden tierkreis. if you dont turn on DMA on that game. expect hangs up on the game because your card is way too slow to compensate to load the game)

Turning on DMA by default wont do harm in anyway(rather it will do more better if you compare it to legit carts). But some games detects data speed *AP symptom* so you might need to turn off DMA on that matter.

@erdekeiser

sa suking tindahan... hahahha joke joke joke

punta ka na lang sa gamestop.. they provide official screen protector provided by nintendo.. but anyway.. expect the unexpected.

@mahomaho

ehhh... invisible shield ehh.. ganda sifuro niyan hahaha... pwede i pag salang pag may babato sayo.. hahaha

Re: Life, The Universe, and Nintendo DS Gaming. (speak-easy NDS thread, with DPG vids

Magkano yung sinasabi mong japanese brand? Ganda naman ba quality nyan? Thanks!

Tanong pala uli, masama ba maglaro ng DS kapag naka-charge? May epekto kaya yun sa battery? Tagal kasi mag-charge eh, minsan di ko na matiis kaya naglalaro ako habang nagchacharge, hehe.

well... based on my experience... mga 1 week palang nagkascratch na :D pero what's the use of screen protector kung hindi rin naman xa magagasgasan diba?

Re: Life, The Universe, and Nintendo DS Gaming. (speak-easy NDS thread, with DPG vids

PSRAM - parang adhoc play ng .gba games - limited lang ito as you cannot run 32mb games in PSRAM

NOR - parang iburn mo yung .gba para mg-act as GBA game pak parang gnun.

Lam ko mas maeexplain ni dnniwa to hehehe

Re: Life, The Universe, and Nintendo DS Gaming. (speak-easy NDS thread, with DPG vids

Re: Life, The Universe, and Nintendo DS Gaming. (speak-easy NDS thread, with DPG vids

@arjaylight...

eto mas detailed explanation..

* PSRAM (Programmable Static Random Access Memory) - You can think this as a RAM (aka "Extended RAM" parang sa Opera Memory pack sa NDS)
You can store any information here in this memory temporarily.. so once you turned off your NDS. The data content will be gone.. What is the difference between ordinary RAM in PC with PSRAM?.. PSRAM has a PRogrammable code that can be used in GBA to boot GBA Games. RAM in PC RAM is a empty memory.

* NOR Mode (sa 3-in-1 pack)
- You can dump games in this memory without loosing the dumped GBA game(the game wont loose until you formatted the NOR memory). You can think this as a High Speed Flash Memory (either it just uses Flash Memory though.. yung mga Chips sa flash drive natin.)

* SRAM
- This is were our save files stored in GBA mode. Note. 3-in-1+ has a built in Rechargeable Battery (only in 3-in-1+) and you'll notice that the NDS drains the battery too quick.

--

Dumping speed:

PSRAM Mode: 1mbps speed
- Dump GBA games 32mb for example. Within 32seconds

NOR mode: 178kbps
- Dump GBA games 32mb will take 15-20mins...

Note: Kung temporary nyo lang naman siya lalaruin.. mas maganda na gamitin nyo yung PSRAM (pero limited lang tayu with 16mb for old edition 3-in1 and 32mb naman sa mga bagong versions nang 3-in-1)

Edit: NOR memory sa 3-in-1+ is 64MB pala... though its only for development purposes..

Re: Life, The Universe, and Nintendo DS Gaming. (speak-easy NDS thread, with DPG vids

Tagal kong hindi nakapag-post dito. :lol:

Re: Life, The Universe, and Nintendo DS Gaming. (speak-easy NDS thread, with DPG vids

@zeroel

yep.. try mo i dump yung Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (32mb ROM) mapupuno yan.. yun nga lang kung yung gamit mo ehh yung lumang version nang 3-in-1.. kasi sa bagung version ehh dobnle yung NOR memory.. nasa 64MB. so impossible mo mapuno ito.. unless you dumped a Moded GBA ROM .. aka use PogoShell to store multiple ROMS on NOR MODE.. nice isnt it?

note: Rudolph's GBA dumper seems to not work perfectly on new ez 3 -in-1+ GBA solutions.. so you might need to use YSMENU (just DLDI patch it.. kahit anung cart pa gamit niyo.. but never try to load NDS games when YSMENU doesnt officially support your cart to load NDS commercial ROMS)
