this steps for any cfw installation is the same. no need to delete ,though if you encounter something strange for example ayaw na gumana yung ibang games mo, try to delete game data then reinstall game, goodluck

i see, yung game requirements is higher sa firmaware kaya binaba nya yung firmware requirements ng game..You could try rebug 4.78,yun ang latest..im already usiing it

Hindi pwede na mas mataas ang version ng cfw sa multiman.. example rebug 4.78 and multiman 4.76..hindi pwede..pero kung rebug 4.76 and multiman 4.78 pwede..i don't know if ma void yung waranty, in the first place wla namang waranty yan, besides pag napag aralan at maintindihan mo yung process ng homebrew at hacks, di mo na kailangan yung services nila except for hardware related. sa case ng multiman causing lag sau,never heard of it..cfw uu..kasi ung newer games unstable yan sa cfw or due to modification ng game copy mo. may instance din na madami na laman ang ps3 mo,kaya check mo yung remaining capacity mo.

Gys sa mga nkakaexperience ng lag sa games nila ireview nyo muna to kung nagawa nyo na before magupdate ng cfw kasi may mga kakilala ako na mababa lang cfw pero smooth ung mga games nla.

---rebuild database. Need nyo ng usb cable na pangcharge ng controller tapos punta ng recovery mode press and hold ps3 power button then wait for a beep, dont let go wait for 2 fast beeps then after that 3 fast beeps tapos bitwan mo na. you are now on recovery mode. choose rebuikd database. Pang work around to sa mga ganyan issues specially sa sounds.

---downloaxd your games from well known ps3 game sites/uploaders. Or game rippers like imars para walang issues yung game

---make sure na you have at least 5 to 10 free gigs sa internal nyo kasi magcacause yan ng lags lalo na sa mga open world games.

---delete game data and reinstall it. Hindi ito game saves ha? Ito ung pag 1st time mo laruin ung game magiinstall sya ng game data. Ireinstall nyo un.

----update mmcm/multiman or any game manager kasi pag outdated na sya maraming issues specially sa newer games

---dont play online. Haha. Thuis is optional. Not only na mababan ka pag di mo alam magtago nagcacxause din sya ng frame drop. Naexperience ko to sa gta v.

Pag lahat yan nagawa nyo then lag padin try nyo na magupdate ng cfw. Payo sa mga tamad magbasa basa or ayaw ng masyaxo technical iwas kayo sa mga DEX TYPE na cfw gamitin nyo ung cex tsaka mas safe ung CEX pag di ka masyado marunong. Im running 4.70 habib cfw cex with multiman 4.78, control fan utility. Yan lang homebrew sa ps3 ko so far after 2 months since nagjailbreak to wala pang issues kahit isa. 250gig internal ung akin ps3 slim 2xxxB series. Kahit ung nba 2k16 working smooth and hindi mabagal unlike other reports from other cfw users.

Basic Requirements for JAILBREAKING

General Rule

PS3 unit with at least Official Firmware 3.55 and below, beyond 3.55 (e.g. 3.56) then the unit is not Jailbreakable.


OVERVIEW OF PS3 JAILBREAK

PRO/s

1. Enable to run Homebrews and other 3rd Party Progmrams
2. Run back-up games
3. Somehow spare your Blu Ray drive since most of the time you game will run either on external or internal hard disk. (Prolong Blu Ray Drive lifespan)
4. Theoretically has a faster loading time since the games are directly boot from internal or external hard disk.
5. Generally cheaper ( Arrrrr!)

CON/s

1. No PSN access
2. Basically you will always be left behind in terms of features that the Official firmware has/have since you have to be at least one step behind the OFW.
3. Need some technical knowledge and understanding of the system


KMEAW'S 3.55 CUSTOM FIRMWARE (Tutorial & Guide)

First and foremost I don't take any credit from this Custom Firmware, I'm just sharing my thoughts and knowledge on what are the precautions to take note and provide a step by step procedure on how to install the CFW.


Basic Requirement/s

-Your unit must be in Official 3.55 Ofiicial Firmware so if you're on 3.50 OFW and below (e.g. 3.42 , 3.41 ) you will have to update your system to OFW 3.55.

-Avoid any electrical shortage or instability during the update as it might interrupt during the installation that could lead to bricked system.

-Flash Disk on FAT32 format

Installation

Download the CFW HERE

Make all the necessary folder on your Flash Disk http://asia.playstation.com/resources/get/9193fee7f80f78213e5ff34f935101f010d7896b

Paste the downloaded CFW inside the UPDATE folder


Update Procedure

1. Insert the storage media or USB device. that contains the update data in the PS3 system.


2. From the home menu, select (Settings) > (System Update), and then press ok

3. Select [Update via Storage Media], and then press the ok button.
The system automatically searches for and finds the update data saved on the storage media or USB device.

4. Start the update data.
Press the ○ button to start the update data. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. You can delete the update data from the storage media or USB device after the update has been successfully completed.

* Do not turn off the PS3™ system or remove storage media or USB device during an update. If an update is cancelled before completion, the system software may become damaged, and the system may require servicing or exchange.

To make things clear

1. Only ps3 with models CECh etc. with model number 2.5K series pababa ang pwede i.jailbreak. Check links sa baba for more info on ps3 jail-breakable and downgrade-able models. yung mga mga SLIM models later up to those latest ps3 SUPER SLIM are not jailbreakable OR DOWNGRADE ABLE but can use Optical Drive Emulator (ODE) para maka paglaro ng back up or downloaded games.

2. Ps3 can only be jailbreak if the firmware version is 3.55 pababa.

3. If your model is pasok sa condition 1 and 2 mag hanap ka lang ng cfw like rebug or habib cobra ang latest cfw is 4.78 respectively . and update it, para majailbreak. check links for the files and video tutorials sa baba..keep in mind na dapat walang cd/dvd sa drive tray or hindi ka connected sa internet as this installs ofw not cfw, kasi pag nagkamali ka..di mo na majailbreak yung ps3 mo at magiging official firmware lock ng sony, to revert it back sa jaibreakable case eh need mo ng gumastos para mag pa downgrade ng unit mo..kaya untog mo na ulo mo sa pader..
