mga ser may question po aq pede po ba yung external ko na may files gagamitin na panload ng games pg pinajailbreak ko ung unit..bale may 1 tera and available pa 500gb..

Gumawa ka ng partition at i-format mo ito sa FAT32. Tapos doon sa bagong FAT32 partition mo ilagay yung games mo (i.e. gawa ka ng "GAMES" or "GAMEZ" folder ---> X:\GAMES\[yung PS3 game]).

mga master tanung ko lang kung majajailbreak unit ko cech-2001a

Kung running 3.55 OFW (official firmware) yan, puwede mo ito ma-jailbreak na agad by installing your choice of CFW.

Kung running 3.56 OFW (official firmware) or higher yan, kailangan mong i-DOWNGRADE (via hardware flasher) muna ito to 3.55 para ma-jailbreak.

sir 4.55 po ung firmware, mga magkano kaya gagastusin saka saan nyu po preferred area na magpajailbreak?

MGA boss ung ps3 ko me error pag buhay palang .eto Cannot start . the appropriate system storage was not found. Sabi kasi sa internet eh more on hard disk daw
1.eto na po mga ginawa ko tinggal ko ung hdd nilinis ko tapos binalik ko din. hindi parin gumana po.
2.tinanggal ko hdd pinadetect ko sa laptop hindi po na detect using disk management.

Wala pa rin CFW jailbreak ang PS3 super slim. ODE lang ang puwede diyan.

anyways, may question po ako, kasi may PS3 Slim 160BG CECH-3012A, currently on 4.55 OFW, tanong ko lang if pde ba tong installan ng ODE, either Cobra ODE or E3? and ano po ba much better sa 2 as of the moment?. saka san ba reliable shop in greenhills na pede ko ipagkatiwala ung PS3 ko? Basic Requirements for JAILBREAKING

General Rule

PS3 unit with at least Official Firmware 3.55 and below, beyond 3.55 (e.g. 3.56) then the unit is not Jailbreakable.


OVERVIEW OF PS3 JAILBREAK

PRO/s

1. Enable to run Homebrews and other 3rd Party Progmrams
2. Run back-up games
3. Somehow spare your Blu Ray drive since most of the time you game will run either on external or internal hard disk. (Prolong Blu Ray Drive lifespan)
4. Theoretically has a faster loading time since the games are directly boot from internal or external hard disk.
5. Generally cheaper ( Arrrrr!)

CON/s

1. No PSN access
2. Basically you will always be left behind in terms of features that the Official firmware has/have since you have to be at least one step behind the OFW.
3. Need some technical knowledge and understanding of the system


KMEAW'S 3.55 CUSTOM FIRMWARE (Tutorial & Guide)

First and foremost I don't take any credit from this Custom Firmware, I'm just sharing my thoughts and knowledge on what are the precautions to take note and provide a step by step procedure on how to install the CFW.


Basic Requirement/s

-Your unit must be in Official 3.55 Ofiicial Firmware so if you're on 3.50 OFW and below (e.g. 3.42 , 3.41 ) you will have to update your system to OFW 3.55.

-Avoid any electrical shortage or instability during the update as it might interrupt during the installation that could lead to bricked system.

-Flash Disk on FAT32 format

Installation

Download the CFW HERE

Make all the necessary folder on your Flash Disk http://asia.playstation.com/resources/get/9193fee7f80f78213e5ff34f935101f010d7896b

Paste the downloaded CFW inside the UPDATE folder


Update Procedure

1. Insert the storage media or USB device. that contains the update data in the PS3 system.


2. From the home menu, select (Settings) > (System Update), and then press ok

3. Select [Update via Storage Media], and then press the ok button.
The system automatically searches for and finds the update data saved on the storage media or USB device.

4. Start the update data.
Press the ○ button to start the update data. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. You can delete the update data from the storage media or USB device after the update has been successfully completed.

* Do not turn off the PS3™ system or remove storage media or USB device during an update. If an update is cancelled before completion, the system software may become damaged, and the system may require servicing or exchange.

-Boss tulong naman po, nag update po ako ng firmware bigla nalang po sya nag black after mag 100% ano po gagawin ko? tapos ayaw na po nya mag connect sa controller then tinry ko na din po alisin yung HDD at binalik ko pero ganun paren po. PS3 slim po sya boss 320gb

Ano ba ang current (official) firmware ng PS3 mo? Kung nasa 3.56+ na ito, kailangan pa itong i-downgrade muna sa 3.55 bago ito puwedeng ma-install-an ng custom firmware (CFW).

Malamang.

Ang (custom) firmware version niyan ay 4.55—ang latest/current official system software update version para sa PS3. Unless na nagre-require yang game na yan ng 4.56+ (na wala pa naman in existence)...
