simply put, ang bawal prior to Fecal Occult Blood Exam regardless of the disease ay unang-una, RED MEAT, kasi ang red meat ay puno ng Myoglobins (that are colored RED naturally) at pwedeng makapag-bigay yan ng FALSE-POSITIVE. Ikalawa, Vitamin C and Citrus fruits kasi may anti-oxidant property ang vitamin C at pwede nyang iinhibit ang color reaction resulting to FALSE-NEGATIVE. Ikatlo, bawal ang ALMOST lahat ng gulay dahil sa PEROXIDASE content nila. PEROXIDASE gives a FALSE-POSITIVE result.

At tsaka bat mo pa gusto mag occult test, sige nga pag nag duduty ka at pakainin mo dark color food, at nag dark color ng stool, eh di yari ka sa doctor, di mo alam kung nag dark color dahil sa pinakain mong dark color food o nagblebleed na yung patient, kahit ata sino alam bawal dark color food sa dengue, pag aalalahanin mo pa yung pasyente at pagbabayarin mo sa false positive na result dahil sa kapabayaan nung nurse
