wine. PlayOnLinux... and others will allow you to run windows apps with linux... like PS, MSOFFICE and others... but i may say not all...

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install wine

or try mo hanapin sa synaptic...

Nagamit ko din po ang wine para mapatakbo si FreeGate sa Ubuntu 9.10 (actually, gamit ko po LinuxMint 8 na based sa Ubuntu 9.10 din naman).

Ang ginagamit pong application na paginstall sa Ubuntu ay Synaptic. Hanapin nyo lang po sa MENU.

Graphical po ito. Kapag binuksan nyo na ito, hanapin nyo ung gusto nyong install.

Halimbawa, install mo ay htop.

Ctrl + F para masearch nyo, type nyo htop.

Lalabas ung results, right click nyo ung application na gusto nyong install, tapos click nyo ung Install.

Then click nyo ung Apply button sa taas. As simple as that.

Yes, you need to make sudo apt-get install to work.

For your Globe Tattoo, if your using Karmic Koala, just plug it and then wait for it to be detected. Click the Network Manager Applet and you'll see something like New GSM Broadband Connection.

Just click it and a wizard will appear.

Its at the upper right portion of your top PANEL.

In my case, i didn't installed the linux headers so your mileage may vary.

@vourned: Search mo ung thread na ginawa ko on how to run FREEGATE 6.89 sa Ubuntu. I also use Linuxmint 8.0.
