[TUTORIALS] Nokia N900

Tutorial: Boost your N900 Audio with AudioBoost

Friends,

Want to increase the sound of your N900, particularly while you're on headset? Try the AudioBooster Script! Installation is easy. You just need:

1. FileBox (make sure you have enabled Root Access in the Options/Settings - you will need to restart the N900 for the changes to take effect)
2. AudioBooster - download from this post at TMO (talk.maemo.org): http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=959016&postcount=1

Instructions from the TMO Post:

1. Unzip and save to your "MyDocs" or where ever.
2. Navigate to the folder containing the AudioBooster folder.
3. In Filebox, select "Open Terminal Here".
4. Type this command and press Enter:

Code:
sh AudioBoost.sh

To disable, just type this command and press Enter:

Code:
sh RemoveBoost.sh

Here are the instructions:

Install the following apps
*Filebox
*openvpn applet
*Leafpad

You can install the above apps on Application manager If you don't see these Enable the 2 catalogues to see more applications click here. Just don't install too many application that is from these repositories or you'll be facing problems

No need to register on any websites. All you have to do is edit the Xtream.txt and set your ca.crt file.

Open Filebox and click on the "Gear" Icon Right corner below the screen. Scroll down and Check on the "Enable Root Acess" Then reboot/shutdown the device.

attachment.php

On the .rar file I provided. There are 5 files to extract.

attachment.php

Open the Filebox again Copy the "Xtreme Folder" Containing the ca.crt file the Press the Up Arror Icon Which is located on the top of the screen. Press it multiple times till you see. "/" on your address bar and go to /etc/openvpn And paste the folder there. (You can see the address bar on top of the application besides the Up Arror Icon and the House Icon)

On the Xtreme.txt. The default is:

xtreamtrial01
123456

These are the username & password. You will only edit these if you want to change account. If the current one doesn't connect. You can find the available username in the get account here.txt. There will only be 1 password.

Update:
the username is 01 to 50 now for more users. If you can't connect that means someone is already using that account you have to change the username then reconnect

On the .ovpn. file. You don't need to edit anything its already set up and ready to go.

Open your OpenVPN applet from your status bar. Click Manage connection>New>Configuration file. choose the .ovpn depending on your respective network. Then click import. Close the applet then open it again now you will see connect to xtreme.

Remember to Connect first to 3g connecttion before connecting to the Openvpn.

Happy browsing :)

Special Thanks to:
Blarehead provider the VPN
Adhiktuz for announcing the VPN to us
Also Credits goes to Sir Topet's Tutorial.

TS napagana mo naba to hanggang ngayon?

Besides, 65K colors versus 16 million colors on a small 3.5-inch screen = you can't tell the difference. Kung regular na big-size monitor or TV screen ang usapan, then it will matter.

n900 does not boot, vibrates and stays at nokia screen with blue led light for about 15secs then turns off.

tried to charge to wall charger but unable to, it just vibrates, shows nokia and yellow led light stays for about 8secs then turns off and repeats the process.(same when connected to pc).

tried to flash but unable to go to flash mode, no usb sign upon pressing the u before connecting instead trying to charge while connected to pc but fails to. yellow led present

n900 condition prior to issue- kp51,battery full, enabled all repos., partitioned nitdroid 2.3.4, with back-up menu. downloaded yappari 0.18 did not install yet.

booted nitdroid and tried reverified account with whatsapp for android then browsed with nitdroid browser suddenly turned off. I removed the battery then tried turning on and the issue above happened.

thanks guys..

NITDroid...I thought so. :) When you try to turn it on, mag-glow yung LED light...tapos mag-yellow nang matagal...tapos mag-off? Then uulitin niya, tama?

Gumagana ba ang NITDroid before this happened? Or did this start happening after installing NITDroid and then nag-restart ka ng N900?

Try to flash "kernel-only": http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_...nel_from_a_FIASCO_image_.28expert_topic.21.29

Hi Sir topet.

Miss being around.

Hey, long time. :)

Apps na puwedeng mag-download sa YouTube? Meaning YouTube downloader?

Really long time hehe.

Ultimo Cherry or MyPhone naka-Android OS. :D Nawawalan ako ng feeling of exclusivity.

About Cutetube and YTube...gumagana naman siya sa akin. Are you using regular wi-fi, or 3G+VPN?
