Okay. Anyway I think the best solution at this point is to download fresh copies of the ISO installers and delete whatever copies you have on your computer para hindi na maghalo. Based sa mga nabasa ko, wala naman sa computer mo ang problem, more on the installer ang problem.

Okay. Minsan puwedeng mangyari yan, such as due to bad download, etc. Also puwedeng ma-corrupt dahil sa Bootable USB creator na application na gamit mo.

Gamit ko is yung mga apps dun sa www.pendrivelinux.com. Pero kahit ganun pa man, minsan sumasablay pa rin, so normal lang yan lalo na kung paulit-ulit mong ginagamit yung USB drive.

Not really. The purpose of POL (Play On Linux) is to help determine which Wine version is needed for each and every Microsoft-based application you want to run.

Friends,

Here are my recommended "to-do's" with Ubuntu. Yung mga topics tagged as "Essential" it means kailangan sila or very important, kaya hindi mahaba ang list ko.

Essential to-do after a fresh installation of Ubuntu (10.04 or 10.10):

1. Run Update Manager. TIP: to save time, add all your desired repositories/PPAs (Personal Package Archive) before running Update Manager. Visit Page 1 of the thread, Item #10 under “General Ubuntu” for details.
2. Update your video card drivers by clicking on Hardware Drivers (10.04) or Additional Drivers (10.10). Make sure to add the x-swat PPA to your repositories to ensure that the most updated drivers will be installed. Visit Page 1 of the thread, Item #4 under “General Ubuntu” for details.
3. After installing the new video drivers, fix the resolution of the Plymouth (Opening Splash) of your Ubuntu. Visit Page 1 of the thread, Item #1 under “General Desktop” for details.
4. Install proprietary codecs (Ubuntu Restricted Extras). Visit Page 1 of the thread, Item #5 under “General Ubuntu” for details.
5. Install Sun Java plug-ins. Visit Page 1 of the thread, #8 under General Ubuntu for details.
6. Set up a Dedicated GRUB2 Partition, especially if you are planning to have a dual-boot, triple-boot, etc. setup. Visit Page 1 of the thread, Item #11 under “Boot-up and Installation” for details.

1. X-Swat (for video cards)
2. Wine

Value-Add PPAs (Nice-to-Have):

1. Elegant Gnome (theme)
2. Bisigi (theme collection)
3. Lubuntu (lightweight desktop manager using LXDE)
4. Webupd8 (from www.webupd8.org, usually has updated versions of apps)
5. VirtualBox
6. Super OS (hacktolive, has a lot of neat apps)
7. Openshot (vide/audio editing app)

master gusto ko sana mag install ng vmware nadownload ko na yung bundle sa site nila kaso di ko alam pano iinstall wala naman sa net

Ayaw mo sir iinstall nalang si Ubuntu seperately? Kasi malakas sa RAM(Memory) un. Pero depende naman yun sayo kung Good Specs naman PC mo at indi Low End.
