Hi guys,

I started this thread to help everyone wanting a new computer. All you need to do is post the following:
Code:
budget:
usage:

other miscellaneous requirements:

*If to be used for gaming,. please indicate the games you wish to play.

The prices i will be using are those that come from major shops in gilmore and also PCexpress and others... The prices will only reflect that of which on the date of my post.

also please put your requests in this format:

Processor:
Motherboard:
RAM:

Video Card:

Hard Drive:
Optical Drive:

Power Supply:
Casing:

monitor:

Accessories:

please indicate (at least)the size of the hard disk desired, and also what you need/have/prefer.

Thanks.

How to get to Gilmore:
commuting... From EDSA get on the MRT to Cubao and take the other train and get off at Gilmore station. so easy.
driving... Via aurora is the easiest way from EDSA. anyway, just ask na lang cos i dunno where you'll be coming from.

An example post would be as follows:
Hi. Please help me buy a computer for my son. He will be using it mainly for school and some games. He likes to play Dota and L4D. Our budget for the PC would be 20K. We already have a printer, monitor and speakers. Our monitor is a 17" CRT monitor. My son said he prefers 1gb video card.

Thank you.

@matt8988;
4th gen is still very much capable... very competitive pa nga yung mga "unlocked" na 2nd gen eh. I myself, have a 4th gen i7 4790 paired with a 980ti. though medyo kapos ako ng mga 3~10 fps against the 4790k, but that is still a great gaming performance. I think on par pa yang CPU mo sa i3 8100 since 4 cores na rin ang i3 ngayon

note: 980ti is on par with a 1070 with less than 5% margin of error

Good pa yan sir. Mahirap mag upgrade now dahil damay ram at mobo mo.

anung specs ang maganda ngaun for computer shop business? kasama monitor 15k per unit

cpu: ryzen 2200g = 5450
mobo: Gigabyte GA-A320M DS2 = 3200
RAM: Patriot 4gb 2133mhz = 1850
HDD: WD Blue 1tb = 2200
Case/PSU: Fortress Panamera w/ 700w PSU = 1100
Monitor: Orion L-G1711 1440x900 = 2700
Keyb/mse: Delux K6300u + M136bu Usb mouse and keyboard Combo = 370
Total = 16,870.00

note for new builders:

Don't cheap out on your Power Supply Unit (PSU). It serves as the heart of your PC supplying current on your parts. A cheapo, generic psu typically have unreliable voltage and current supply with extreme peaks and dips. pag may pumutok na capacitor nyan, baka madamay pa ibang components nyo :slap:

edit:
merong mga True Rated PSU which means that the given rating (e.g. 500w, 600w, etc) ay ang actual power na kaya nya supply. the efficiency rating is also an advantage as higher efficiency rated PSU's consume less power than lower tiered ones.
may PSU thread na na-discuss na rin mga yan and i would recommend that you read them if you want more information. I'll post the link once I can find it.

Good evening sir ask ko lng po if ok tong BOSSTON 500w na na bili ko na PSU. Good po ba ito mga sir?

no idea :noidea:

please provide a link or specs of the model so we can check.
true rated ba yan? yung may ganitong sticker:
80plus.jpg

kung meron, typically acceptable na yung performance nyan and has passed a decent Quality Control testing process. there's just the question of capacitor quality for the reliability rating.

Ryzen 5 2400g
MSI B450M Mortar
Crucial 8gb 2400mhz
WDC 1tb
Coolermaster elite 550 80+ bronze
thermaltake versa h25

All for 26k. May maisusuggest kayong better build? :/ Ang use is for autocad, 3d model, gaming, video editing.

heto post ko a few pages back for your reference:
heto 26k recommendation ko with options:
CPU: Ryzen 2400G = 8600
Mobo: Gigabyte B450M DS3H = 4160
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws V 8gb dual 3200mhz = 5590
HDD: WD Blue 1tb = 2200
Monitor: AOC M2060SWD 19.5" 1080p = 3850 (cheapest 1080p monitor I have seen)
Keyboard/mouse: A4tech = 440
case w/ psu: Fortress Panamera Casing w/ 700w psu = 1100
Total = 25,940.00

options:
SSD for your boot drive: 240gb = 2500
change case to something that looks better kahit yung tecware nexus tg = 1500
lagay ng decent PSU like EVGA 450BV or Seasonic S12ii 520 = 2200/2850

26k yan with monitor na at cheapo keyboard and mouse. pag inalis mo yung 2 na yun, you can shave off more than 4k sa price.
ang advantage ng build mo, may bronze rated PSU at medyo decent looking case. lagpas ata 4k yung 2 lang na yan. my build has a better RAM though.

Ahh okay sir. Yung build ko kasi sir, actually i tried asking for a seasonic s12ii 520 din, pero wala daw silang brand na seasonic kaya yung cooler master ang binigay sakin. Same with the case, wala ata silang tecware nexus tg. balak ko kasi i-home credit para di mabigat kaya sa pcexpress lang ako pwedeng bumili. Haha

make sure na dual channel na yung RAM mo. 4 naman RAM slot nyan kaya wala kang problema for expansion.
you'll lose around 20~30% performance on a single channel lalo na sa ryzen na may built-in gpu.

:thanks:

Processor: Pentium Gold G5400
Mobo: MSI H310M Pro-VH
RAM: Gskillz Vengeance 8GB 2400mhz
PSU: Thermaltake Smart RGB 600w

:beat:
Better discrete gpu at quad core muna for stable performance.

Recommend:
gtx 1050 + quad core (ryzen 3 or i3).
