Ok guys i just want to ask regarding tracing a dynamic ip address here in philippines.

In your own knowledge how hard to trace a dynamic ip address.

Kung normal na tao lang alam natin kung gano kahirap yun diba lalo na kung Dynamic IP address
Minsan kasi diiba example ako taga Quezon City pero yung server na kinokonekan ko is nasa MAKATI. or DAVAO and SERVER NASA MAGSAYSAY

Example this is a globe ip address

110.22.133.45

Alam natin ito ay dynamic ip address so eveytime i connect or disconnect ang data maiiba yan.
Sabihin natin i want to trace that ip address.

Ang pinka kailangan ko gawin diba ay humingi ng permiso sa Globe Telecom para ilabas yung logs ng IP ADDRESS . Please Correct me if i am wrong about process.


SA nagwowork sa globe/SMART or any ISP HERE IN PHILIPPINES PAKI CORRECT IF MALI

AS we all know yung globe/smart hindi naman siguro nagtatrack ng browsing history natin diba. As far as i know IP address and kung anong oras sya un ang nakalog sa mga ISP. HINDI KASAMA MGA NAMES NATIN SPECIALLY IF Prepaid subscriber ka lang.




Ngayon ang tanong itong si 110.22.133.45 how hard for our ISP here in philippines to PINPOINT your exact location ?

May mga tanong pa ako i know madaling isearch to sa google pero syempre iba kasi yung US at ibang bansa sa bansa natin. Na sila ay naka registered lahat ng mga name nila sa plan nila sa internet.

Unless if you are subscribed to a postpaid plan then I would say that it is next to impossible. First of all, if prepaid ka lang naman tapos dynamic IP(which it is the case) walang records sila na nakapangalan sayo so wala silang habol. Unlike kung postpaid ka then they should have record of you when and what time na assign ang IP address sayo whether dynamic or static.

Static IP, pwede to matrace on exact location, exact name ng subscriber. Karamihan ito sa business or may server ka
Dynamic IP, by area po ito, at papalit palit (kaya dynamic), kahit nakaplan ka pa or postpaid. unless static IP.

if d ako nagkakamali possible po siya ma trace kahit nka dynamic, just to give you a scenario in my lab i have pfsense as router at naka dchp pero we know naman na nag change everytime yung ip, pero pag e trace sa logs that time makikita kung anung mac adress ang gumagamit.

nka NAT si globe, kagaya sya nung setup mo sa pfsense but on a larger scale. ex. public ip (modem) >>> pfsense (router) >>> another router + pc then from that router meron na naman split. Mahal kasi mag upgrade ng infrastructure to ipv6 kaya nandugas na lang sila globe by using NAT, mapapansin nyo yan ang dahilan kaya kahit mag port forward ka sa router mo useless pa din.

First thing's first, hindi at never ka iaallow ni globe or other telcos na magkaroon ng logs para matrace ang kung sino man. Una sa lahat, protected ang privacy ng users mapa postpaid or prepaid man. pwede nila yan idisclose through court order tapos siguro sa certain agencies lang hindi sa individuals.

Kaya nga dynamic IPs mostly ang gamit to hide location nung certain user.

Dito naman sa part na to, - How to protect browsing history from ISP, malabo yan eh. Siguro pwede vpn pero alam ko monitored pa rin kahit paano eh. Yung browsing history naman kasi usually sa cookies nila nakukuha yan, for advertisement purposes siguro. or pwede mo siguro subukan gumamit ng ibang DNS Server.

Imagine madaling matrace ang users gamit lang ang dynamic or public IPs nila. hehehe mag fb ka or messenger tapos yung kachat mo malalaman nila instantly yung location mo. Without your consent hahahaha.
