Poem Insensible Heart

Honestly, I don't know how to make a poem the right way but here goes:

Insensible Heart

Since the crossing of our path,

my heart already knew

the soul it's been longing.

I never did anything

and that was the end

yet a new beginning.

It signified the start

of a lifeless journey,

a forced way of living,

with the owner's soul

being dragged all the way

to eat the fruits of regret.

The feeling that you'll never be fixed

till that day comes

and he would say

we both knew

what the dark has been hiding,

it's been there all along,

yet we cannot see

and never cared to find.

We were both scared;

I was too scared.

Maybe the next time we meet,

I'd be more stubborn

and less afraid

of the eyes lurking within the light.

I'd give you what we've promised

and not live this current life.
