- correction po... hindi po lahat ng born-again ay rockers, try mong pumasok sa simbahan ng mga kapatid naming conservative baptist, mainline evangelicals at methodist, as in organ lang at choir ang pang praise and worship nila... siguro yung mga madalas mong nakikita ay mga kapatid naming pentecostal at modern evangelicals.
- unang-una kapatid, HINDI MASAMA ang ganung uri ng pagsamba, in fact, UTOS YUN ng Diyos. basahin mo ang Aklat ng Psalms at dun mo makikita na may iba't-ibang pagpapakita ng ng pagsamba tulad ng pagtalon, pagsigaw, pagtataas ng kamay, pagluhod at marami pang iba... at alam mo bang si David nga ng hari ng Israel noon ay sa palengke pa pa nasasasayaw na parang baliw makapagbigay papuri lang sa Diyos?
- nakakalungkot mang isipin, ngunit ang mga born-again na tulad namin ay madalas persecuted at unwanted. may kakilala akong isang pastor na gustong magpatayo ng isang simbahan sa isang subdivision. pero, isang simbahan lang daw ang pwedeng itayo (kahit anong paniniwala) dun sa subdivision na yun eh nagkataong may mga paring guston ring magpatayo ng simbahan doon... and guess what? syempre nanaig ang mas popular at marami. kaya yung kaibigan kong pastor na yun, nakuntento nalang silang sumamba sa mga bahay-bahay ng mga miyembro nila doon.
- kung babasahin mo ang libro ng Acts, doon mo makikita ang tunay na ugali ng mga Kristiyano... doon nga IBENETA nila lahat ng ari-arian nila upang paghati-hatian. kaya nga sabi sa Acts, "walang naghirap"(finacially) sa kanila. kasi nga they've shared what they had. so ganun ang sinusunod namin, lalo na kapag ang simbahan ay nagsisimula palang. hindi man namin ibenta ang ari-arian namin, at least we are helping each other... At san napupunta yung mga pera? sometimes sa pagpapalago ng gawain (evangelism, etc..), feeding programs, sa mga misyonero naming nasa ibang lugar, pag-papaaral ng mga iskolar ng simbahan, pagtulong sa mga miyembrong nagkasakit o nangangailangan, AT ETO PA kapatid, wag mong isipin na napupunta sa pastor, kasi bawat simbahan ay nay tresurer, at unethical sa isang pastor na hawakan ang pera ng simbahan (maliban nalang kung allowance nya iyon na ibinigay ng treasurer)
- bakit kami hati-hati? kasi iba-ibang mga misyonero ang nagtatag sa amin, yung iba mga Amerikano yung iba Koreano o Pilipino. pero once in a while nagtitipon-tipon kaming as One Body of Christ, ayun siguro yung mga nakikita mo sa mga schools at barangay halls...
- bakit kami nagsisimba? kasi sabi sa Hebrews 10:25 "not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." yung pagsisimba namin is more of a fellowship and praying together hindi lang basta-basta nakagawiang ritwal... at eto pa, tanong ko sa iyo, anong mangyayari sa isang uling na nagbabaga kung iaalis mo siya sa kapwa niya uling na nagbabaga?

Eto lang ang maipapayo ko sa iyo kapatid, Magbasa ka at pagaralan mong mabuti ang bibliya mo (kung meron) kasi ang ang bibliya hindi lang pan-display sa altar, binabasa yan, iniintindi at isinasabuhay...

NO OFFENSE TO KAANIB07 pero, World's last chance is a very big hoax... bakit ko nasabi yun? I strongly believe that "World's Last Chance" website ay pinapatakbo ng mga 7th Day Adventists... who is a very large cult masking itself with the face of Christianity. Bakit ko nasabing kulto sila? kasi nagtuturo sila na para maligtas(eternal salvation) ang tao ay dapat sabado sila magsimba... o kaya naman dapat sa sabbath day ka nagsisimba,kapag hindi ka sabado nagsisimba lagot ka, dahil eternal condemnation ang bagsak mo...

e diba we are not under the law anymore? we are under grace by faith through Jesus Christ.
yung katuruang iyon ay salungat sa itinuturo ng genuine gospel, dahil ang tanging daan lamang upang maligtas ang isang tao ay si Jesus na Diyos at Anak ng Diyos.

Actually bro, akala ng iba sa atin na 10 commandments lang talaga ang law,,, pero put of those 10 commandments, there more that 300 other laws extracted. at hindi bulag ang Diyos upang hindi nya makita na yung 300 plus laws na iyon ay NAPAKAIMPOSIBLENG matupad lahat ng isang fallen na tao... kaya out of HIS love and compassion, isinugo nya ang Anak nyang si Jesus upang maging perpektong tao na siyang magiging katuparan ng mga laws, kaya kung sinumang sumampataya sa Kanya ay under grace na, hindi na under law kasi Jesus already fulfilled it for us..

Good day din po Brod.... you may be right.. but the verses is clear.. Jesus is here not to abolish the Law. may tinutokoy si Jesus Law(batas)... actually its not the 10 Commandments... dahil ito ay batas lang para sa israelita

Heb. 7:18-19 Sapagkat ang dating kautusan ay isina isangtabi dahil ito ay mahina at walang kabuluhan. Sapagkat walang napapaging-ganap ang kautusan. Sa kabilang dako, mayroong pagpapakilala ng lalong mabuting pag-asa, na sa pamamagitan nito, tayo ay lumalapit sa Diyos.

Mahina ang kautusan ni moses ginawa lang tlga ito para sa mga Israelita... may tinutukoy si Hesus na kautusan na hndi binago ano kaya yun any hint? hindi ang sabbat, hindi ang pagsimba ng sabado at hindi ang ikapo na pawang nakapaluob lamang sa batas ni moses.... it was the law of Israelite.... kaya hindi mo sya pwedeng e apply sa Christian view of salvation... may tinutokoy si Jesus na law of salvation na para sa lahat na hndi nya binago...

so its mean na meron ng ganitong law noon pa. para malaman mo ang sagot ay nasa unang aklat ng Bibliya sa Genesis binigyan na kita ng Hint..

In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said:
People ask me, What is the purpose of life?
And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.
One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body-- but not the end of me.
I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity..
We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to make sense.
Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of one, or you're getting ready to go into another one.
The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your comfort; God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.
We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The goal is to grow in character, in Christ likeness.
This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my wife, Kay, getting cancer.
I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you go to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore.
Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life..
No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on.
And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.
You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems:
If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness, which is my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.
We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her- It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character, given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her closer to Him and to people.
You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.
Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me instantly very wealthy.
It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of ease.
So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do, II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72.
First, in spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one bit.. We made no major purchases.
Second, about midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the church.
Third, we set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation.
Fourth, I added up all that the church had paid me in the 24 years since I started the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.
We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity?
Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?
When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do.
That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.
Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.
Every moment, THANK GOD..
