Bought 2nd hand new 3ds xl na naka cfw na. May mga dapat ba ako icheck sa system (version, cfw, etc) pag dumating na yung unit?

What kind of Custom Firmware? Luma3ds or NTRBoot?

you could check the latest Firmware by checking the System Settings and it should appear SYS 11.6.0-39(E/U/J) Etc. or whatever version it is currently on. it should appear as SYS instead of Ver
or alternatively you could hold start while booting up the 3ds to enter Godmode9.

or another alternative if you see homebrew apps. (the easiest way). there should be the Homebrew Launcher, (or FBI, Anemone Theme, Etc)

Hmmm not sure kung ano cfw sya, sa sytem is Ver. 11.5.0-38U. Pero pag binuhay ko yung 3ds eh lumalabas na yung mga games, meron din folder na laman eh mga hombrew launcher, fbi,title manager, devmen, freeshop, chmm, at isang parang star na kulay blue yung icon di ko alam kung ano yun hehe

tanong lang po just a litttle bit confused, what's the difference bet Sys and Ver sa system settings?

hello mga master. ups ko lng tong problem ko sa new 3ds xl ko. hnd ko mabuksan ung settings at browser.

problem:

1.open setting but stock after 3ds logo apeared.
2. cannot open browser, note need to uodate to latest firmware.

Work done :

1. try to update using recovery mode but stock in the middle of updating.
2. try to edit dns in to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but failed
3. try to disabled the firewall modem and update through recovery mode again but still the same.

cause:

1. try to hack and some point i downgrade it to 2.1 firmware. and then i put in my game to the slot and open game and suddenly it update so that i can run the game. but the problem pop up.

boss meron lang ako mga tanong.
1) old 3ds luma + emunand + menuhax pa rin ako. Kung ba maguupdate ako sa boot9 may chance na mabrick old 3ds ko?
2) kung ba mag foformat ako ng memory card, icocopy paste ko lang ba yung mga files sa pc ko tapos pagnaformat memory card ko na icopy paste ko na lng ulit pabalik?

1. any modification has a risk of bricking, just enter god mode and perform a full backup nand, just in case na ma brick, you can just go ntrboothax the thing and make the thing work again from brick state.
* ntrboothax is a flashcart converted cartridge, you can just buy that thing in monumento for a cheap (300 pesos) or in shoppee.
2. yes copy paste lang, just dont forget to format the memory card to fat32 filesystem just in case you plan to upgrade to 64GB and up.

Usually ma access mo yung fbi using download play via rosalina menu.
If you followed 3ds.guide site to mod your 3ds dapat may fbi app na yan sa home screen mo.


Else, hindi pa modded yung 3ds mo, ipa softmod mo na lang yan or ikaw mismo mag mod, madali lang maman kailangan monlang is ntrboothax compatible flashcart, maraming r4isdhc dualcore sa monumento, compatible yun for ntrboothax. Nasa 300 lang price kesa magpa hardmod ka dun nasa 1k+ yung price.

Take note, make sure gamitin nyo yung http://3ds.guide how to softmod your 3ds, since they always opt you to use latest release ng mga pang hacks, lalo na yung ntrboot flasher, kailangan mo ng latest version para magamit yung r4 dualcore as ntrboothax.

Since version 7 firmware ng 3ds wala ng flashcart blocking so thats 4 years ago.
Kung meron man blocking it will just fixed in a simple flashcart update kailangan mo lang is ilagay yung required updater sa ss card ng flashcart, iwanab ng 10 mins na naka on, whoala unblocked na ulit with brand new flashcart icon.

since usa yung console mo, us lang pwede na malaro mo dyan, mhxx is currently a japanese exclusive game sa 3ds.
so you need to cfw it. I think kahit yung latest na flashcart ng 3ds for 3ds games is hindi gagana yung region free hacks not unless you use a cfw (emu or sys).

im not sure kung compatible yung r4 mo for ntrboothax, assuming yung icon ng r4 mo is bomberman (which is a r4isdhc clone variants) compatible yan sa ntrboothax. You can go to 3ds.guide site for more info.

ok boss. ibig kong sabihin, kung gagamit ako ng r4i, pwede nang i-cfw?nalilito kasi ako sa site ng 3ds.guide, nakasulat kasi dun kailangan ng specific na game cart(install boot9strap). di ko alam kung pwede rin sa kin yung "All Version" dun sa site.
ngayon pa lang ako oorder ng r4i kung sakali,dun sa pinost mo sir.
