[Solved] PLDT Fibr + Smart TV

Hi!
Can anyone help me connect my Smart TV (LG) to the internet?
I'm using PLDT Fibr and PLDT's router.
What weird is when I connect to my network using my laptop or phone through WiFi, I have internet connection.
However, when I connect my TV through WiFi, it connects successfully to the network but has no internet access.

My current set-up right now so that I can use internet in my TV is to broadcast new network using my laptop and then connect my TV to that broadcasted network. If I do that, my TV has internet access.

I've been considering to use a LAN cable but I don't have a long one that will reach my TV yet.

Can someone help me? Please!

UPDATE: This is ok. I just changed the DNS Server in my TV into Google's. It's just weird that the previous set DNS Server is not working even though it's the same DNS server set in my PC when I connected to the network.

Try to set a static ip on your smart tv

Use Wifi-Direct. or mag wired connection ka muna then update mo ung software ni LG.. then retry to connect using wifi

Ginawa ko na din po. Wala pa din.

Latest version naman po.
Ang weird lang kasi, Connected to the Internet daw sabi ni LG pero wala naman net access kapag dun sa network nung router ako kumonek pero kapag dun sa broadcasted network nung laptop na dun nakakonek sa network ng router, meron.
Lahat yan through Wifi lang.

Parang ganito ngayon ang status.
Router<---(Wifi)--->TV = Not OK
Router<---(Wifi)--->Laptop<---(Wifi)--->TV = OK

May LG Smart TV at PLDT Fibr din ako. Naka-connect ako dati at na-update ko din ang firmware ng TV.

Baka security setting ng pldt router ang problema.
Naka-on ba ang MAC Address filtering/any firewall mo sa pldt router?

May LG Smart TV at PLDT Fibr din ako. Naka-connect ako dati at na-update ko din ang firmware ng TV.

Baka security setting ng pldt router ang problema.

Wala e. Naka-off lahat ng ganyan kasi ako lang naman gagamit dito.
Wala din ako binago sa settings ng router maliban dun sa SSID at password. -_-

1st question: Saan mo nabili yung LG Smart tv?

2nd question: Na try mo nang i-factory reset ang tv?

3rd question: na software update mo nba sya?

4th question: na try mo nbng itry iset ng ibang location sa set up menu nya?
ex. from Phil. try mo Singapoer, Malaysia, India or Dubai.

5th question: anong product code or svc code ng tv sa likod?

Reply lng if you did some of these.

3) Yep. Updated na po siya sa latest version (05.30.02).

4) Location? San po?

5) Not familiar with this one. Hirap din silipin yung likod ng TV pero ito model, LG 43UH6500.

Good evening TS, btw discontinued model na pla etong model ng tv mo, ang location is makikita mo sa GENERAL settings ng LG mo, click mo yun tas try mo iset ang location sa ibang country and then restart your tv, test your connectivity, if not try mo sa ibang country then restart and ganun uli and then test mo uli. Worst case scenario if ganun pa rin ang problema try to RESET to Initial Settings or (factory reset) ang tv which is located in the GENERAL settings of the tv, pag ayaw pa rin tlga try mo mag tether ng wifi mo from your phone with data, pag kumonek ang tv at makapag browse ka or youtube sa tv, means may conflict ang tv at sa router mo, try mo mag set up ng secondary AP router at doon mo ikonek ang tv.. and the last worst case scenario if you have tried all of this at hndi mo napagana mas mabuti dalhin mo na sa LG service center bka may problema na ang Wifi reciever dongle ng tv mo and bring your invoice for warranty purposes if hndi pa nag more than 1 year yan pasok pa yan sa warranty. Hope this helps.

p.s - dont worry to reset your tv kc automatic nmn ang tv mo and it will be the same as 4K graphics, purpose ng reset is to refresh lng ang system nya.

Try mo ayusin yung Date sa settings baka yung date and time ng SmartTV mo hindi nakatama sa time ntin. meron akong LG SmartTV ok nmn sya. at check mo din kung saan nakaconnect yung TV mo baka nakaconnect ka sa 5ghz na bagong labas ng PLDT. wala pong internet yung 5GHz nun, unless n lang magbind ka sa wireless sa 2.4ghz at 5ghz.

Discontinued kasi last year model to pero syempre nung binili ko to, isa siya sa latest na labas ng LG. Naka-Philippines naman.
Ayaw ko mag-reset kasi customized yung settings ko ng colors, backlight, etc. haha

na ganyan ako pre... same model tayo... Ginawa ko chinange ko muna ung Time zone ko sa ibang lugar... tpos ok na... tpos ayon ibalik mo ulit sa time zone ntn... gagana na yan...

good day ka symbianze,, bali dapat ung set up mo sa advance setting ng network mo sa tv ay 80.80.80.80 ung dns or 8.8.8.8
pa check nalang din po kasi current set up basta na fiber po ang conection ng net...
