Just something that got out...

Well, actually some "things". I'll be using this thread to write my poems,
hoping somebody might like them.

Hmm... the views tick on. I wonder if someone really reads this. ^__^

Yan ang kanilang masasabi

Pangit man o unano
Lahat ay hahamakin ko
Kung ito'y ikaliligaya mo

Pagkat ako ang alitaptap

Like a perfect spring bloom ?

Shall I cast away your onyx hair ?
Prettier than the night.
Can I do without your joyous laughter
That brought color to my life ?

Will I reject your ample bosom
That no man can resist
Will I disregard my love for you
Cast it to the abyss

Must I wake up each and every day
Without the blessed siren's song
Of your captivating voice
I have heard for far too long

Will I do without the happiness
And the love you give to me ?
Will I end up gouging my own eyes?
Driven to insanity

Will I end up killing the one you love
Just to have you as my own ?
Would I bring forth the grief and sorrow
From that old soothsayers poem ?

I want to ask you my dear mother
Please tell me sincere and true
What do I have to do
So I won't fall in love with you ?

Although I was expecting it na because of the title, napatumbling pa din ako nung nabasa ko yung last two lines. Oedipus Complex indeed. Hanep ang unang pasabog mo bro. Walang kupas.

Self-destruction

The feelings of misery
With a tone of darkness
Envelops the city
With a certain gladness
The cold concrete
Right below my feet
It screams and calls to me
From the depths of madness

Cold and lonely
In a crowded room
I ask for sanity
I was granted gloom
The cup of lethe
Now seems so sweet
The words pierce through me
Like a poisoned plume

I grasp the blade
With a shaking hand
My conscience wades
Through blinding sands
I close my eyes
Right before the slice
The blood cascades
Next to where I stand

As the light dies out
I drop dead in my room
A corpse left smiling
In the autumn bloom

Ordeal

The pen glides through the ashen paper
My sleep eludes me once again
Slashing lines like a glinting sabre
My sleep eludes me once again

I watch the words form tales of color
My right eye closes my left brain
I read the words with searing fervor
My left eye closes my right brain

I pluck the fruits of my own wisdom
My hands are puppets to Athena's bidding
I sing with verses of sirens song
My feet are cold and numb and freezing

I write the end on that full paper
My eyes are closed my breath receeding
I feel the joy and mirth of laughter
My eyes are open the light is blinding

I risk a glance to my computer
A vertical line forever blinking
The joy fades quickly, dies forever
I've lost the poem I wrote while dreaming

I sit and stare through the open air,
The flowers wilt and bloom.
Time passes slow, both to and fro,
To a traveller awaiting doom.

I stand and glide through the great divide,
My heart rests on a tomb.
The giant lumber, all cracked with thunder,
From an artists naked plume.

I lay and rest upon broken nests,
A black tuxedo fits the groom.
For when my wife died, I chose to slide,
And succumbed to my own gloom.
