How to get a job in Call Center? [questions, opinions & experiences are wel

Re: How to get a job in Call Center? [questions, opinions & experiences are

Well icoconsider ko pa rin since alabang area talaga highly preferred ko but I would try sa ibang CC nearby.
Well I know a little bit about computers since I had one for several years. Pero ndi ganun ka in-depth kya I don't know If my knowledge would suffice. Nagttroubleshoot ako every now and then with the help of google ofc. If you would kindly give me some insight on how TSRs do their stuff like ano yung mga inexplain, kung ano yung mga bare essentials na kailangan kong malaman, just so I know what I'll be putting myself in. Ayoko lang mukha akong tanga during interviews, after training I think I'll be good to go by then.
TY again... :salute:

Dapat kumpleto sa vaccine para wag ma-Parvo.

Genpact is also located in North Gate Alabang, right? Daming call centers dun so you have plenty of options and I am certain you can find something better than what Genpact offers. The reason why I would say no to them is not only they offer you a small salary, but they require you to work 6 days a week.

Apply as a TSR para mas madaming opportunities para mas mabilis ka maka-save ng pera for you to continue your studies.

Learn your computer parts and a brief description of their use:

Hardrive (HDD)
Optical Disk Drive (ODD)
Memory Card (RAM)
Video Card
Power Supply (PSU)
Motherboard (Mobo)
Processor (CPU)

Monitor

You should also learn the difference between No Boot, No Power, No Video, No POST.

It's very easy and I know you can do it. Also keep in mind that some interviewers will hire you based on your communication skills. Be confident and minimize the use of fillers such as "Umm.. Ahh.. ". Also prepare some canned answers to questions like:

1. Describe yourself - keep your answer related to the position you're applying for.
2. What can you contribute to the company? Avoid giving answers such as "Ay pucha, may ambagan pala dito eh."
3. How do you see yourself in the future? - You should always see yourself as a successful employee inside THEIR company.

You're welcome and good luck brother.

I think depende sa account kaya mababa ung offer sayo. Nagwork ako sa genpact dati for 2 years, okay naman. :)

Re: want to work in a BPO company???

but how can i be prepare if i don't have any idea on what the interviewer will ask? and most of the time my t0unge got twist when i feel nervous?any suggesti0n?:noidea:

You can try to Google what are the common questions ask when applying in call center and how to handle them. If you know a friend working in that company, you can try to ask that person what are the possible questions that will be asked. Practice yourself.

Good Luck and God Bless!

Thank you sa insight Sovietskya... Did some more research with this company, hnggng saturdays pero may one day rest day p pala ang schedule. Kaya lang notorious pala to sa extensive BGC at mahabang waiting period bago magfinal interview, bago magtraining, at bago magstart. Kumusta naman kapag nakapagstart na? Ang parang upside daw dito is maganda daw ang camaraderie and good compensation package. Can you attest to this? Zehahaha... #newbieproblems

Healthcare background ka ba or technical?

Re: How to get a job in Call Center? [questions, opinions & experiences are

First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who has contributed on this thread.

It helped me a lot in getting a call center job after a year of being unemployed. I wasn't able to pass the interview in this same company last year. I applied as a customer service representative; however my interviewer told me that I will be endorsed to a tech chat support account. I didn't know and I wasn't able to ask the reason for that, but I decided to take the opportunity since I would lose nothing.

The thing is, I'm not that techie. I surf the net a lot, download things and all, but I'm not good with the technicalities. I don’t know the basics. It’s hard to explain what I don’t know and what I do know. Some of the terms that I've encountered and I need to learn are: power cycling, rebooting, modems, routers, installing a printer, ps2 cables, sounds, clearing the cache and cookies, email, about the different OS such as windows and Mac. Just the basics.

Although I know some of these things, I don't understand them fully. I need to really understand them to be able to troubleshoot better and isolate if this is our product's issue or not and to be able to transfer them to the right department/company.

Any advice for tech chat support newbies with no technological background?

Can you recommend books/websites that would explain to me the things like the ones that I have listed above? Books/websites for nontechie adults that explains the basic stuff.

I really need to up my game with this since I'm competing with either experienced agents or IT graduates for the limited slots on this account. Thank you very much in advance for taking the time to help.

(Please forgive my English grammar. I'm improving on it.)

All in all okay naman, I think I handled myself well. So natapos sya with them giving me 30 days for me to think about it tapos ilalagay daw muna sa profile bank yung assessment form and resume ko. Tapos pala tinanong ako on what position am I applying for with me saying na I'll leave it to their judgement since I barely have knowledge regarding this industry. Sbi ni sir parvovirus (pls refer to our previous post exchange) mag TSR n lng ako, I kind of agree pero according sa kabilang site medyo technical talaga ang magiging tanong kaya mga computer related courses ang mga karaniwang tinatanggap. Yari ako kung ganoon nga. Mech'l eng'g undergrad ako so okay naman ako sa sciences and math but I only know what I know. Gusto ko lang mapenetrate to, kasi once I'm in, I'm in for good.

I'm willing to forego the "usual" basic salary basta reasonable ang workload.

Also, how's the dress code? and any tips pala for phone simulation, 'eto na lang ata ang hindi ko masyado nappractice at ayoko mamental block...

This right here means a lot for people like me.

Yes you can. There are some call centers that hire high school graduates, college undergraduates, differently abled, etc. Really, they don't mind as long as you can speak English.

You can apply for a Customer Service Representative position where you get to take inquiries, questions, complains/rants regarding a service. You may also choose to apply for a Technical Service Representative position where you can be a phone technician to computer/mobile device issues etc.

Pay depends on the company, account, location where you will get hired. Pay is bigger when you're not in the province. For 1st timers, you can get as much as 13k+ up to 18k+ a month.

Most call centers prefer those who finished at least 2nd year college.CC like NCO, JP Morgan and Genpact accept high school graduate for as long as you've got good English comskills.Salary ranges from 12kabove depending on the center.

BTW if there's anyone of you here looking for a day job cc please pm me.compensation is from 22-27 k
