oks ang mga review :praise:... hehehehe on number 8 review, i removed the gmail coz it ate 6mb on your internal space at pede naman ma dl sa playstore yang gmail na malilinked nalang sa SD mo pag nag install.. regarding sa baterry try to wipe battery status sa CMW on my other device the proper way on wiping is to:
- drain the battery up to 1%-2%
- enter recovery mode
- wipe the battery status
- then charge your phone
- when its fully charged enter CMW then wipe battery status again

GingerBlaze v.1.2 Review:

I faced a little problem in flashing this ROM, I get "Error on SD card: Status 6". It's my fault I guess?
I edit something in the update script, but I solved it so it's not a big deal and no need for discussion. ;)

  • Start-up and shut-down logo is Alcatel OneTouch logo, still has ICS boot animation. Unlike to GingerBlaze v1.1, start-up will show ICS animation and no shut-down animation/ logo.
  • Fast booting, the way I love GingerBlaze. It only take a minute or less, esp. kung konting apps lang ang naka-install.
  • 110 free internal memory
  • Default launcher is the Sony Ericson Xperia launcher.
  • No CRT power-off animation, but GingerBlaze v.1.1 have it.
  • Folding in and out animation added, nice but for me the animation is a bit slow, making me feel my phone is slow, so I turn off the animations.
  • Smooth and snappy! Guarantee!
  • Status bar and notification is transparent
  • System color palette is yellow green, looks great compare to GingerBlaze v1.1 na blue, red and pink na medyo mahirap mabasa ang nakasulat.
  • 8MP (megapixel) camera with so many customizations:
    • Scene modes
    • Picture size
    • Picture quality
    • Color effect
    • Capture mode
    • ISO
    • Face Detection
    • Sharpness
    • Hue
    • Saturation
    • Brigthnes
    • Contrast
    • 8X Zoom
  • Pre-installed apps tha I love:
    • Snake Battery saving apps, ang ganda ng interface. But I love Juice Defender more.
    • Google Music Player, simple but it rocks!
  • Default lock screen is the Alcatel stock lock screen, para mapalitan ng sliding locker, read this tutorial. Working po iyan, I tried that too.
  • No busybox installed, I'm not sure kung yung GingerBlaze ay may pre-installed na busybox. Download na lang po kayo sa play store
  • GPS and AGPS are working great, like GingerBlaze v.1.1.

sorry i forgot now i remember!!! to speedup the animations must download spareparts app sa market or sa blackmart (i suggest paid) from there select animation option to fast then reboot the phone

the 1.1 and 1.2 battery life is much better than the stock.... siguro kaya kayo nagkakaproblema sa battery is because most users overclocked their cpu

but still it is not the final backup pala nung 1.2 kase kung iyan yun it should have the beats audio enable and cm9 music player at transparent status bar... kung sino man sa inyu gustu icontinue or improve to go ahead feel free to do it. pm me for questions if you want to ask anything @ [email protected].. medyo mahigpit dito di ako makonline madalas. thanks for the feedbacks...

Beats? Wow! Ang icon po ng Google Music Player ay yung icon ng Beats by Dre, pero wala po akong nakitang Beat audio option sa v1.2. :(

Nagdownload na po ako ng Spare Parts, yung pro version. Install ko po maya, feedback later. :)

opo pede po ask someone who will port this to your version.

dun sa mga nakapag install pkisilip po ung file na host sa package kung maraming ip/address ang listed dyan malamang yan ung backup na nalagyan ko na ng addblock

@Lavernmace, i also encountered "Error on SD card: Status 6", how did you fixed it as i can't install v1.2 :(

ma-lag na andread sakin eh, siguro dahil sa malaki yung phone storage?
saka sa messages nag la-lag, or dahil 2000+ ang laman inbox ko?

need pa po ba ipatch v6 supercharger sa ROM na to?

I see. It means may mali talaga ... Ganito po ang gawin mo:

Using PC, open your other ROM na successful ang pag-flash sa phone mo at open mo din ang GingerBlazev.1.2.zip
Then i-copy mo po ang META-INF folder ng other ROM papunta sa GingerBlazev1.2.zip.

Make sure na "Add and replace files" ang nakalagay and then click 'OK'.

Done. Copy mo na po ang GingerBlazev1.2.zip sa iyong SD card and flash that ROM again. Enjoy!

Kung wala ka na pong other ROM na mapagkukunan ng nasabi files, download my attached META-INF.
Extract the META-INF folder to GingerBlazev.1.2.zip, add and replace files and click 'OK'. Done.
Copy the GingerBlazev.1.2.zip to your SD card root directory and flash the ROM. Enjoy!

Yes, use SuperCharger script to improve the speed and memory organization of this ROM.

Battery consumption differs in many ways like:
if the cpu has been overclocked
is the user hard gamer?
is the user loves to call a lot?
is the user loves to browse the internet?
is the phone used as modem or internet sharing?
is the user installed and used live wallpapers and other dynamic element on the phone?

When I buy my Android phone, I accepted the fact that it was a battery hog. With the use of JuiceDefender, I know my battery lasts longer.

But to let you know, GingerBlaze is good in consuming the battery charge. It's not like other ROM that overnight, the charge will decreased by 20% or so. I hardly notice even 1% lost overnight.

About the Gallery application, if you have previously installed GingerBlazev.1.1, your SD card should have "GingerBlazeApps" folder.
It is packed with useful apps, kasama po ang stock-gallery-substitute na PicFolder.
For you convenience, attach ko na lang po: View attachment 97362. :)

baket po yung gingerblaze 1.1 nainstall ko..pero yung 1.2 ayaw po..lageng insatallation aborted..nu po bang kailngan gawen?:upset:

If so, read again the first post of this thread. Just this morning added a solution for that.
Because I thought it was my fault, but it turned out talagang mag-konting mali sa script.
Ikaw po ang 3rd na naka-experience nyan. :)
